A new version is up:
- 17 new items with unique mechanics
- 5 new weapons with unique mechanics
- 4 new potion effects
- a new scroll: Confusion
- a new quest area in the forest where you can play baseball
- 6 new achievements
- all bows now come with a low-damage knife as a strong attack. You can use the knife to quickly break barrels and boxes and stay alive if you run out of arrows
- get a special reward from the shopkeeper if you buy all the items
- fireball + dark orb synergy now works
- fixed returning bow animation for the Archer
- fixed swoosh animation for melee swing attacks
- all Mom's Books can now be duplicated for increased effect (double poison/fire damage, double freeze duration, etc.)
- added a note showing which sword attacks are quick in the weapon description
- removed the Catacombs Shortcut from the daily challenge
- reduced the mana cost for the Bottomless Bag of Bombs
- show current run time on the pause screen
PvP fixes:
- sudden death timer is no longer running when the game is paused
- using twilight staff spell only increases power for the caster
- turret staff clones now shoot at other players and cannot harm the caster
- fixed the dead animation glitch for the winning player after he gets smashed with the huge hammer
Update (9.Dec): Version 2.8.0 is uploaded that fixes the Slime King boss netcode bug
Update 2 (10. Dec): Version 2.8.1 has full Chinese translation and the Silver Coin is replaced with the Blood Rune in Casual Mode.
Update 3 (10. Dec): Version 2.8.2 fixes bug when a player would get sticky feet if he walks into another player that has the effect
Update 4 (10 Dec): Version 2.8.3 adds an option to show the timer during the game.
Update 5 (12 Dec): Version 2.8.5 has the following changes:
- the Clockwork staff now works on ceiling traps in the Catacombs as well
- fixed the drop rate for the Staff of the Dead. Until you get the Eye of Ramana it drops 100% of the time
- the Healer vendor (potion shop) now has a chance of selling the staff of Healing so you don't have to kill her to get it
- Magic Chest changed to give 100 gold instead of 20
- reduced the Imperial Scepter mana cost to 1
- improved the Clockwork staff description to show that it uses player's gold
Update 6 (15 Dec): Version 2.8.7 is online:
- fixed the bug where the game could sometimes crash if a pet attacks the Snowman while he is holding up his cane to defend from the projectiles
- show proper arrow graphics when you switch arrow in a middle of attack animation
- show proper arrow graphics when you run out of one type of arrows and the archer starts to shoot a different type
- fixed the hair color for the evil princess death animation
- some bows would transfer their special effects (ex. freezing) to the backup knife - fixed
- reduced the Shepherd staff mana cost to 1
- fixed the gap between the fences (gates) in one of the battlements rooms
- fixed the problem where the hero would sometimes automatically start shooting after being dead or knocked down
- removed special effects (Cutlass, Warbreaker, etc.) from respawning minions in the boss fights in levels 1, 2 and 3
- updated some of the translations
Update 7 (16 Dec): Version 2.8.9 is online:
- Celestial Smasher now automatically targets the closest enemy (similar to the meteor staff)
- changed the Shaman achievement to require killing 10 enemies with a voodoo doll
- various improvements for the Snowman boss
- added an option to show hint when you have a duplicate scroll and a useful item to duplicate is in the room
- added missing special teleport target locations in some of the Catacombs rooms
Update 8 (19. Dec): Version 2.9.0 is online:
- fixed the bug with the Bare Bones Amulet which allowed using magic items and weapons with zero mana.
Update 9 (Dec 22): Version 2.9.3 is online:
- added an option to show the player health bar (like the monsters have)
- removed the timer from the gameover screen
- fixed crash when you try to set the runway on fire (in the long jump quest)
