The Wild Eight is now 0.4.1. We're still working on fixing all of the issues you've been posting to us on Steam discussions, so expect another patches to appear soon.
Here's the patch note with all the fixes and improvements.
Key Changes:
- Now in the game settings you can configure the FPS lock. It can be useful for those players who reported on the overheating of the video card. Also, it's worth considering that the activated V-Sync locks the FPS at 60
- Easy and Classic game difficulty are renamed to Explorer and Survivor. In Single player mode, “Explorer” is now the default difficulty level. In multiplayer, the default difficulty is now “Survivor”
Improvements:
- Training - Added a part about learning Sprint and a hint about how to use it
- HUB - Now you can stabilize HUB at any time, not only on the 32nd day
- HUB - Added a siren inside the HUB and an in-game notification on the 32nd day without stabilization, and another in-chat notification when the HUB is destroyed
- Traps - Now if players or animals are trapped, they get immunity to the next trap for 2 seconds
- Traps - Reduced speed reduction when hit by an Iron Trap or Spiked Trap (compensated by slowdown from Bleeding)
- Yeti - Now he regenerates 2% of health per second when there are no players nearby
- Yeti - Now, when Yeti screams, the stones will fall more often on the players' heads
- Craft - Now, when crafting items, the free space that appears in the inventory after the next crafting will be taken into account Improved the interface of "Load/Save" window
- Now the interface of the game (for example, in-game hints) will take into account the keys reassigned in Settings
- Unused sounds are removed from the game, which reduces RAM load
Fixes:
- Fixed the disappearance of resources when dragging more than 80 units of resources into the inventory of a player who doesn’t have the ability to carry an increased number of resources
- Fixed the disappearance of an item from equipment when the same item was dragged onto its slot with a mouse
- Some fixes for animals aimed at reducing their likelihood of passing through doors and walls
