Hey guys,
Happy New Year 2017 !!!
I just published an update :)
Changes
- Locomotion speed has been increased by a factor of 1.5
- The teleport beam is pointing 10 degrees more downwards
- Friendly Fire has been disabled for now (will become a mutator in the future)
- Some scope flickering issues have been resolved
- Fixed a recursive render loop caused by some attachments (if you noticed a game slow down when approaching the attachments table it was caused by this issue)
- Optimized some maps for even better performance
- Attemp to fix floating bodies when joining a game that has already been in progress for a while
- Fixed visual network issues with pistol slides
- Fixed suddenly missing reload sounds in multiplayer
- Increased size of Mute/Kick buttons
- Hosting selection now features categories for the game modes
- Fixed an issue when you could not teleport through objects in Edit Mode
- Attempt to prevent to use scopes and weapons through walls
- Button to return to lobby in loadout room
- Knife will respawn in your bubble after 12 seconds (to prevent griefing and to give it back if you dropped in such a way that you could not get it back)
- Demo maps are tdm_subway and ctf_hatfields_n_mccoys now
The game is already featuring a kick function but the buttons (only visible for the current server admin - shown in the top left corner of the score board) used to be very small and I guess most of you guys have not even been aware of this functionality. The increased size should make them more visible because it seems some people only launch the game to kill as many people on their own team as possible. That is also the reason why I decided to disable friendly fire for now. However if they still try to harm the game I will add not only a temporaily ban function that you can use yourself to exclude them for your game session but I also will consider to implement a global ban function on my side to ban some people from multiplayer completely.
All I want is that you guys can enjoy this game as much as possible and if some people decide to destroy that experience I will take action. Stop stuff like that now or you will being stopped.
Anyway I really hope that you like the new locomotion speed and some of the other improvements. Just let me know how it works for you :)
Edit:
I just published an update to this update to fix two issues I noticed with the portals and to add two new maps. The two new maps are chud and concrete_jungle. Please note that chud is featuring tons of lights and might be a bit problematic - but we will need to test that now.
Edit2:
- Fixed a new issue with the knife that did make stabbing impossible
- Fixed invisible walls in new map concrete_jungle
- Removed some lights in new map chud
