Hey guys,
I just published another Update to the game.
Changes
- Fixed an issue that Game Menu using Touchpad locomotion was unopenable in some modes
- Changed all effects for muzzle flashes and impacts to more interesting effects (I hope this makes the weapon even more satisfying and fun to shoot. Looking for feedback on that!)
- Removed tracers to make the game not look cartoonish (you should not use them for aiming anyway and the new impact effects should give you a good feedback now)
- Improved the bolt action rifle interaction even further
- Added 3D Text asset for the Editor (category Misc)
- Attemp to fix head collision issues
- Remote interaction for UI also available in Edit Mode now
- Zombie textures are a bit higher resolution now
- Day-Night-Cycle time has been reduced to 2 minutes and 15 seconds for a full cycle
- Fixed some AI glitches
- Added Street light that is featuring an actual realtime light (category Misc)
- Reduced some weapon interaction sound volume
Please use the streetllight with realtime lighting with care. Due to lots of optimizations the game can handle it surprisingly well but you still should not overuse it and you also should place them wisely to avoid lighting glitches. At the moment the light will always be enabled for this asset. You cannot turn it off. I might change that in the future. Furthermore the light is only in a very small area to maintain performance. Might be useful to highlight some stuff or to add to the atmosphere of a scene.
If you haven't tried the Workshop support yet you really should look into the level called "Finding Sam". The user flibbertig155 really shows what the game already is capable of. Make sure to run it using "Optimize Scene & Run" for best performance. If you are more into building you still should look into it because it might be a good inspiration and reference how to use some assets.

Enjoy!
Edit: I noticed that you have been able to grab the Central Spawn Point in the Editor since I added Remote Interaction. That obviously is not meant to happen and thats why I just fixed it :)
