Agents!
Your new assignment starts today! I hope you came prepared, as this one isn’t your usual briefcase stealing gig.
But first, make sure to check out the Developer Livestream happening here and watch the Superboss Games team push the Crowbar Collective devs into an afternoon of Intruder madness! Grab your hats and tune in to cheer for your favorite team.
Before anything, we have a surprise for our most avid Intruder players! Coming with the event, we're excited to announce there will be a 200% EXP Boost for a week (until August 4th at 12 CST) to help you grind levels, and get awesome new unlockables!
... Unlockables you say? Exclusively for this event, we have Black Mesa themed patches, hats, and more coming! Jump on Intruder now to collect them all:
We also have exclusive menu backgrounds, and some more for your player profiles!
There are currently two very special hats! They will be available for anyone that plays Intruder for an hour if they own Black Mesa in their Steam library! This will only be available until August 4th at 12 CST.
Now, to the event!
You are tasked to create a Black Mesa Themed map to help new Agents from the Crowbar Collective to discover Intruder!
If you do not own Intruder or Black Mesa just yet, take advantage of our special Bundle: Get one of, or both the games for 50% OFF.
https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/27270/
The Bundle will last for one week only, until August 4th at 12 CST!
Now Agents, there’s some rules to this event! Read your mission objectives carefully:
- The map must be created for this contest, not previously uploaded on the workshop or elsewhere.
- You can use previously created assets but not entire maps. This means not taking an old map and adding the Black Mesa flair!
- The map must be created by you, of course. Any stolen layouts or entire maps won’t be considered.
- The theme must be around Black Mesa and be the key element in the aesthetics and/or playstyle of the map.
- You can submit the map as a collaboration between multiple people, but be aware that the prizes will not be duplicated if you win! You'll have to figure out how to split them evenly between team members.
- All submissions must be submitted to the workshop by September 28th at 11:59 PM PDT and link posted in the #map-submissions channel.
Maps Will Be Judged By The Black Mesa & Intruder Teams Based On The Following Criteria:
- How fun it is to play.
- How well the map is designed.
- Originality and creativity.
- How creatively the Black Mesa theme is involved.
- Upvotes on the Steam Workshop (Influences but does not decide).
To get started, make sure to join our Discord server and reach out to mapmakers there! We also have plenty of resources to get you started below.
