Hello everyone - and welcome to our Steam page!
No doubt many of you are here from the recent announcement of 'The Lake' trailer that went online today - and you likely have many questions we'll attempt to answer as many of them as we can and keep you updated as we move through development!
Just in case you missed out on the new trailer - you should really go and check it out!
(Be warned though - it really isn't for the faint of heart!)
So what is Martha Is Dead?
Martha Is Dead is a first person psychological horror set during 1944 that tells a dark tale of murder and mystery in Tuscany!
Who Is Martha? Why is she dead?
Martha is your sister, your twin sister to be precise. She is also the victim of a brutal murder, found drowned and desecrated on the bank of a lake. This event acts as the catalyst for the events of our games story, and sends you on a journey of learning to cope with loss whilst attempting to uncover the motive and methods behind the gruesome act - something that is easier said then done against the backdrop of the horrors of war.
Who are the developers and publishers?
The developers are LKA, who previously introduced the world to Renee and her story based on real life events in the Volterra asylum in 'The Town of Light'
They are an indie studio who operate out of Italy, and are masters of telling grounded, dark stories with respect and purpose.
The Publishers are Wired Productions, lovers of indie games worldwide who were also lucky enough to publish LKA's Town of Light previously.
