Pathologic: The Marble Nest is a mood-piece created to acquaint you with the world of Pathologic. It’s a self-contained short story that uses the same assets and premise and the main game, but works as a spin-off.
In terms of gameplay, The Marble Nest doesn’t feature every in-game mechanic that you’ll find in the real Pathologic, and is generally in pre-alpha state. It’s not optimised, so brace yourself for long loading times, bugs, crashes, and other issues. Early alpha versions are not always exactly fun to play. Please be prepared.
KNOWN ISSUES
- No saves. The Marble Nest only takes ~2 hours to play, but it's still something to keep in mind
- Walking glitches. Sometimes characters walk funny. Will be fixed soon
- Indoor glitches. When you enter a house for the first time, it may not always be there. Just take it slow—or be devoured by angry textures. Will be fixed soon, of course
UNKNOWN ISSUES
are best reported to [email protected]. Every bug report helps the development!

Obviously, we can’t be everyone’s cup of tea. We’re not trying to. And yet we still believe that there is wisdom to be found in the reactions and criticism (or compliments?) of the people unfamiliar with the original Pathologic and our general style of development.
So: please don’t hesitate to download The Marble Nest and try it out. Share the link with your friend. Slide it under your enemy’s door. Show your parents that gaming can be cerebral. Show your teacher the desolation of a dying town.
Experience that brilliant catharsis of going to a forum and sharing with the world exactly what you think of this thing.
We will be there.
Waiting.
And watching.
