You can now put a character's training to the test as soon as your first character is ready. This update adds Practice Trials, custom names, personal bests, and guidance for your first training session.
Opening Story and first-training guide
An opening story now leads into your work at the arcane farm. You can reread it from “Opening Story” in the menu.
The first-training guide teaches you to buy a crop, let it grow, and use Eat through actual play. It also explains your first augment choice. You can skip the guide or end it during training and keep playing.
Enter a Practice Trial with one trained character
From a training result or a trained character's details, you can enter a 60-second Practice Trial with that character and three loaned companions. Practice is available for any owned training record. The loaned characters are not added to your collection.
Your character's damage in a completed practice run counts toward their personal best. The team's practice result does not enter Trial History or count toward Steam achievements. Normal Harvest Trials still require four different base characters.
Name and find your trained characters
Give each trained character a name of up to 20 characters. You can change it from their result or details screen, or leave it blank to restore the original character name. Your first training result asks you to register a name; you can keep the name already shown.
Filter party candidates by base character and sort them by training date, Eat Lv., or personal trial best.
Compare personal bests
Party candidates now show their “Personal trial best,” and the training roster shows owned trained-character counts and personal bests. A personal best is that character's highest total damage in a completed normal or practice trial. Results depend on the party, so use them to compare training choices and combinations.
Display and control improvements
Fixed training resource displays extending off-screen on ultrawide monitors and adjusted fullscreen and settings layouts. Localized roster labels and stat displays have also been adjusted, along with training-screen lighting, button feedback, and the training-completion sound.
Save data
Existing training and trial histories can be loaded. The save format has been updated to store names and personal bests. Protection has also been added to prevent overwriting saves that use a newer, unsupported format.
Data saved after this update cannot be read by the previous version. Continuing to save in the old version can cause history loss, so do not use updated saves with the old version.
