Hey Everyone,
Hope you are all doing well. Great things have been happening here at Reverie as we surge forward into the second half of the year with a whole barrage of updates and tweaks for MKW.
Terrific bits of polish have been added to the game with this latest update. Some inconsistencies in religious icons have been removed, the AI has been given a significant revision to make it less ruthless and overpowering, and we’ve made the maps look better with a bit of environmental light magic! In addition, you should find the camera a lot easier to use as you scan around the map – a big help for getting the lay of the land on the World Map and on tactical maps. After some extensive testing and tweaking, we’ve made the General User Interface better looking and less intrusive now especially when it comes to scaling on different resolutions. And thanks for your reports we have hunted down a number of annoying bugs and rare crashes to make MKW even more stable.
And now let’s take a look at what this included, I grouped a lot of the changes into categories this time around.
- Fully reworked and enhanced the light settings on the World Map
- Enhanced lighting on the RTS maps to make them more immersive
- Updated unit portraits and models removing crosses that didn`t make sense for all nations
- Updated unit portraits to correct some minor historical inaccuracies in the attire
- Significant adjustments to moving the camera around
- GUI adjusted to make it more efficient and less intrusive
- Fixed some issues with AI razing towns, it will never do this again.
- AI is now not as aggressive in RTS mode
- AI unit spawning more balanced and less overwhelming
- Some rare crashes have been fixed
- Overall game stability greatly improved
