Kingdom TD: Draft Your Demise Playtest Build 0.1.1 is now available.
This update makes the flow of each run easier to read, introduces a battlefield that changes during combat, and adds new effects and mechanics to several towers.
Track every wave
A new wave tracker now sits at the top of the battle HUD. It shows the current wave alongside recent and upcoming waves, marks boss waves, and warns you when a named boss is approaching.
Woodland Crossroads now grows during the run
After wave 4, Woodland Crossroads expands northward and opens a second enemy portal. Existing towers remain in place while you shape a new route across the revealed ground before the next draft.
This is our first dynamic battlefield transition, and I would especially like feedback on its pacing, clarity, and route-building possibilities.
Tower updates
The Soul Lantern now fires a spectral homing skull with a new trail and impact effect.
Soul Lantern's Grave Mark now places visible curse skulls on enemies. Three stacks detonate in an area-damage blast.
Mire Bell attacks now spread outward as a visible resonance wave, with damage synchronized to the passing wavefront.
Mire Bell's base range has been reduced from 11.5 to 8.0 to better match its broad multi-target role.
Flail impacts have received a clearer visual effect.
Arrow projectiles now maintain the correct orientation as the camera moves.
Tower sprite alignment has been improved across base, upgraded, and Ascension appearances.
Presentation and readability
Updated the victory and defeat screens with new painterly action buttons.
Improved camera framing across different pitch and zoom combinations.
Brightened Graveyard terrain for better path and unit readability.
Corrected enemy facing while units follow their routes.
Improved tutorial highlights for the Campfire and enemy portal.
Improved scenery alignment and how scenery refreshes after terrain changes.
Improved terrain-transition synchronization in multiplayer sessions.
Feedback
When reporting a bug, please include Build 0.1.1, the map and wave where it occurred, your input method, and reproduction steps whenever possible.
Thank you for continuing to test Kingdom TD and helping us shape the road ahead.
