FIRST AND FOREMOST – THANK YOU!
First of all, we’d like to thank all of you who have played the Order of the Sinking Star Demo this week already. We’re incredibly grateful for your interest in the game, for your feedback on Discord and in the Steam reviews, and for catapulting Order of the Sinking Star into the Top 5 most-played single-player demos of Steam Next Fest: June 2026 Edition so far!
There are 3 days left to play the demo – as it will be available until Monday, June 22 at 10am PT – so if you haven’t already, jump into the demo and let us know what you think!
Several of you already have completed all the available puzzles in the demo currently... well done! However, your adventure does not end here... we’ve just pushed a content update to the demo, which lets you explore Order of the Sinking Star even more. So, check out the list below for an overview, download the update, and see for yourself what’s new!
DEMO UPDATE OVERVIEW: NEW HEROES TO MEET, MORE PUZZLES TO SOLVE, AND MORE TO EXPLORE
Today’s update (aka Demo Part 2, as Jonathan Blow’s called it!) brings plenty of new content to the Order of the Sinking Star Demo – from new heroes to meet to new mind-bending puzzles to solve.
Below’s a quick overview of what today’s update introduces:
- New Heroes – The Bard & The Druid: As you solve the intricate puzzles within the demo and unlock new areas to explore, if you progress far enough, you’ll have the chance to meet and play as two new heroes: The Bard and The Druid! With the Bard, she has the ability to charm others and even has the power to move crystals while playing music. The Druid, on the other hand, accidentally transmutes his friends and objects in his path.
- A Slew of New Puzzles: For those who’ve finished the demo prior to this update, you know there were 75 puzzles in total. Well, with today’s update, even more puzzles have been added which will officially bring the demo to be over 100 puzzles! Take on the new brain-teasing puzzles – and with the new content, you’ll even have a chance to see what happens when the worlds start to collide...
- New Areas to Explore & New Lore to Uncover: With new puzzles comes new areas to explore and of course, new lore to find! Experience even more of the Overworld and uncover even more secrets within Order of the Sinking Star. Will you get one step closer to deciphering this epic tale?
