Hi, everyone! We hope you all had a great holiday season. Now that the new year is started, we are putting out an update for the Online Co-op mode, which we released in December.
The new update includes several improvements for the Online play, Camera Zoom hotkeys, music remaster, and a few minor fixes and adjustments.

MCE Version 0.96.0 - January 19th, 2017
- Features:
- Hotkeys for changing Camera Zoom when in game
- Controllers: RT and LT buttons
- Keyboard: F9 and F10 for Player 1, F1 and F2 for Player 2

- Adjustments:
- Joining Online Co-op through Steam friends when in tutorial is no longer allowed
- Added Chat tutorial messages
- In Co-op, Spells and Trinkets owned by both players and equipped by one of the players are shown as red
- In Co-op, if you try to equip same Spells or Trinkets as the other player, you are given a message informing you that it is not allowed
- When unpausing in Online Co-op, game will give players a 3-second countdown before resuming to make sure both players are ready to continue
- Mad Squirrel nerfed
- Small nerf to Meteor Shower
- Some Accomplishments made easier, some more difficult
- Some updates made to player graphics
- Improvements made to netcode
- All damaging collisions to the Client player are now handled on the Client side. I.e. in case of lag, Client’s view of collisions to themselves wins over Host’s
- Back-buttons now have an icon instead of text
- Added shake effect to player health bars when taking damage
- Added shake effect to enemy counters when defeating enemies
- Added blinking effect to combo ar when combo is below ¼
- Balanced Devs spell damage
- Improved sounds stacking. Sounds that play too far away to be heard no longer cancel sounds closer to you
- All of the game's music has been remastered
- Fixes:
- Fixed an issue, where, if joining Online Co-op through Steam friends while already in a level, the game got stuck
- Fixed an issue where Movement Mode C would only work if single player movement was also set to C
- Fixed a rare bug where some Spells go through moving enemies without hitting them
- Fixed a bug causing Pal Shrooms to stop firing if they were too fast due to Trinkets
- Peck Shrooms Mycosis condition now updates enemies’ element for Client in Online Co-op
- Deep Freeze no longer creates extra tiles in Online Co-op
- Fashrooms can now jump over gaps
