Minion Masters!
We’ve got a lot this week, but before we get to the amazing event that’s starting, we want to share some future news.
So much is coming in October. And we’re just as excited as you are!
There will be a new schedule for our blog, more activity across our social media channels, we want to try to revive the Minion Masters Subreddit and much more.
Like most of you already know, the King Puff Cup returns with a team battle tournament on October, 7th. The KPC staff is working hard to bring you a high quality and competitive Minion Masters experience. That tournament also marks the start of the 2nd King Puff Cup Season.
Then we have Salbei22, a regular Minion Masters streamer, presenting a Minion Masters league called “Monday Night Masters”. 18 players will battle for 5 weeks against each other in a Best-of-Three once per week. The games will be broadcasted by PalaceOfDreams, Sinilil and Salbei22. Watch out for more information.
Last but not least, we want to advise you to keep the last weekend of October clear. Rumours have it that something really big is going to happen. Something that has never happened before in the history of Minion Masters. Another advice: See that you reach Grandmaster quickly in October, because there might be some special conditions, making the rank essential. Oh, and expect a serious incentive for participating.
But for now, just play some more Minion Masters and enjoy your time on the flying arenas. We will let you know as soon as we hear some more rumours.

Balance
- King Puff Perk 3 changed to: King Puff marks the bottom bridge and is immune to damage when controlling the marked bridge. TrickSwap moves the mark. --- Developer comments --- King Puff’s third perk has long been a point of contention in the community. The frustration of trying to finish a King Puff who has little health left is something we’ve wanted to look into for a while. This change aims to reduce the frustration by limiting flexibility of King Puffs shield by making it only use one bridge. It allows the opponent to find more openings in which to deal damage, but retains the ability for King Puff to flip his attack and push a different lane. Tying it to Trick Swap also means the King Puff player has a limit on how much he can switch lanes, as he is held back by cycling his deck.
- Bridge Shrine Mana cost up from 3 to 4
- Bridge Shrine now takes triple decay damage in Mana Frenzy --- Developer comments --- For a while now we’ve seen late game strategies becoming more dominant, as people use Bridge Shrines and invulnerabilities to reach mana frenzy and overwhelm the opponent. While we feel it should be a valid strategy, the ease of achieving a stalling tactic is against the direction we wish to go. While we’d like to address the fundamental issue of Bridge Shrine not being very interactive for the opponent, a proper solution would take a number of reworks that need preparation, and we felt a change was needed now. Increasing the mana cost will mean there’s a greater investment needed to maintain an XP rate equal to holding the bridges. In turn, this means decks cannot pressure as effectively, which will mean it’s harder to maintain control of both bridges while shrines are active. Additionally, we wanted to address the giant shift in value that the Bridge Shrine received during mana frenzy, as the intention of it wasn’t to completely dominate mana frenzy, but rather provide a possible win condition through achieving the state earlier.
Misc
- Going to “Past Seasons” on the leaderboard now starts you on the most recent season, as opposed to starting at January.

- Fixed a bug where Morgrul would kill an Assassin in one hit - Thanks Beancake!
- 273 Expedition bugs you’ll never see!
Cheers from Betadwarf!
