Getting set up to start adjusting some of the game mechanics and collect feedback on them.
Question Panel
We've added a panel into the watchtower (which goes away in multiplayer) to get feedback on version changes. While lots of people have been fantastic with submitting feedback in the discussion forums, we'd like to get more. And that means making it as easy as possible to do so. What better way than right inside the game?
This panel will hopefully be used to ask a question for each update on a particular change. This week's is just to make sure it's working :)
Statistics Collecting
In addition to the Question Panel, we've added some very simple aggregate statistics collecting to hopefully make it easier to improve the game. Things like number of total games played, and average difficulty reached for a particular version of the game (No particular user data, just aggregate information). We hope to use this in conjunction with more detailed feedback and to see how changes we make affect how the game plays.
Other Changes
- Fixed tutorial teleporter being active when it shouldn't
- Fixed wooden sound when shooting winged enemies
- Fixed bow staying ethereal after dying
- Fixed explosion artifact from dropped bombs
- Added Quick-Switching for the bow, using the grip button of your free hand
With the addition of the feedback panel and the tracked statistics, I think we are in a much better position to start adjusting the mechanics and adding/changing features that will have more impact on how the game is played.
