Three big changes in today's update (and expect another update tonight fixing all the resulting broken things).
New Bosses
People were reaching much higher waves than I was anticipating, and after wave 20 it was a bit stale. I've increased some of the enemies difficulty, especially when scaling to 4 players, but the main change as been to add new bosses for waves 30, 40, and 50.
VRTK 2.0
QuiVr relies heavily on the SteamVR Toolkit. Previously, we were using version 0.8(ish, there weren't even version numbers back then...) and there were a lot of improvements being made that I was implementing myself, just in non optimal ways.
With the upgrade to VRTK 2.0 we should see more predictable behavior from controller interactions (Talent nodes selecting, arrow/quiver grabbint, etc).
Spectator Mode
The final big addition this week is the new Spectator Mode. It allows players to drop out of the combat, but not out of the game in the event that your arms are about to fall off ;). It can be accessed from the menu screen.
You are only allowed to become a spectator before a game has started (or after one has ended) and during the 15 second breaks between later waves. However, if you are already a spectator you can rejoin the fight at any time, even in the middle of a wave.
There are a number of smaller changes like brazier placement on the main platform and one or two performance improvements, but with the VRTK upgrade lots changed and needs to be tested again :)
Happy shooting!
