Thank you to everyone who entered our Fantastic Castle Contest on Twitter! So many of the entries we received left us completely blown away. You all clearly made tremendously good use of your time with the beta, and we cannot wait to see what you guys cook up when you reach the higher levels and start using the stronger fortifications.
The five winners were chosen by group discussion among us here at Blue Isle Studios. It was an extremely hard task for us to narrow it down to just two winners, but here they are without further ado (and in no particular order):
Stone Mage Tower - Zagwitz
Alright, now we’re talking. This is where a wizard would live. A classic, high fantasy wizard. A grey bearded, floppy-hat-wearing, potion-concocting sorcerer. Zagwitz has nailed the aesthetic of a mage’s tower so well that I have to wonder if he’s an actual wizard. Bravo, sir!
Wooden Dam – Crockodille
Top marks for creativity! This was an easy one for us. Crockodille’s dam is a terrific example of a structure drawing inspiration from the world and meshing perfectly with its surroundings. That spot is one we’ve thought ourselves would be perfect for a dam, and we’re delighted someone so quickly had the same thought themselves. Kudos!
Castle of the Eternal Darkness – Tilt Master
Imposing. Striking. Monumental. Regardless of how you want to describe it, Tilt Master’s castle is clearly downright impressive. I look at that structure and I know in two seconds flat that someone important lives there. Congratulations!
Seaside observatory – Neralyte
Neralyte’s observatory, which is tightly nestled into the side of a sea-facing cliff, accents the landscape beautifully. Our favorite little detail is the landing strip, which is adorned with bright blue torches to ensure a smooth and safe landing for visitors traveling by broom or dragon. Excellent work!

Stormwood Lagoon House - Vexx
Clearly Vexx is familiar with the golden rule of real estate: location, location, location. His Stormwood Lagoon Cabin, which he built with allies Beorn and RobotGrill, is tucked away in a quiet little corner of the world, hidden from the dangers of wild Dragons. It may not be the biggest or most complex structure, but it is lovingly crafted and exudes a quaint charm that has us downright smitten. Well done!
