Patch Notes - 10/25/2017 - Tame Desync & More

Good afternoon, Wizards! Today’s patch continues our new weekly cycle between major patches and minor patches by introducing our second minor patch. As you may remember, minor patch weeks are smaller in scale and are more focused on bug fixes and balance tweaks rather than new content and gameplay systems.

Our biggest fix in this week’s patch resolves the on-going issue of tame desynchronization. Many players have recently experienced strange behavior with their tames seemingly disappearing for no reason or becoming stuck and non-functional in their game. These instances are a result of a desynchronization between the player’s client and the game’s server. This problem has now been fixed with today’s update.

Many Custom Game players have also reported that they always log in at a starter town rather than in the place where they last logged off, causing for the frustrating experience of traveling home every time they play. This has been fixed, and Custom Games should now properly save and load you at your last location.

Many players have reported some weird behavior of the directional audio when playing in third person. The issue was that the audio source being used was the player character's position, rather than the camera's position. We've fixed this, so you will now here sounds coming from the direction that makes sense from the camera's position.

Check the full notes below to see all the other small fixes and tweaks in this week's patch, and remember to give the servers a chance to come back up with the newest version of the game. As a reminder: Our SpoOoOoky Halloween event has exactly one more week left! All the Halloween goodies will be leaving the game's chests on November 1st, so make sure you get in there and unlock them while you still can!
