As many of you may already be aware, we’ll be adding a series of treacherous endgame boss fights in a massive expansion planned for release later this month. To accommodate the addition of these substantial new environments, as well as a new set of rules to our building system, we’ll need to make a few adjustments to the existing layout of Ignus.
Clearout Zones for Upcoming Content
Three new parts of the map will soon be added to the game. We’ve taken the liberty of outlining these areas in-game with gigantic blue borders. These spaces are out in the middle of the ocean, so it’s likely that very few (if any) players have actually built here. In the event that you do have a structure here, please be warned that it will be deleted once the upcoming expansion is released. We advise you to begin the process of moving your structure, lest you suffer the loss of your hard work and precious resources.
Throne Influence Radius Increase
We’ll also be making an adjustment to how close you can build to other players. Historically, strangers could build within one empty space of another player’s structure. In two weeks we’ll be bumping this up to fifteen. This change is intended to prevent griefers from encasing another player’s structure, which we’ve received many reports about in the past. This change will not apply to Housemates, who will still be allowed to build within the existing radius of one space.
When this change goes into effect, any pre-existing structure that is within the radius of another unknown player’s structure will be rendered un-alterable. You will be able to delete these pieces and reclaim their resources, but additional building will not be allowed. If you are currently extremely close to an unknown player’s structure, we’d advise you consider this change before its implementation in two weeks.
