Welcome to the Weekly Review! Every Friday we’ll break down the latest happenings in the world of Citadel: Forged with Fire. Check back weekly for info on game updates, events, community content, contests and much more!
Launch Day!
On Wednesday, July 26th, Citadel: Forged with Fire was finally unleashed upon the world! We’ve been extremely pleased with the overall reception of the game, and have been absorbing your feedback and bug reports to improve the game as we continue to work through the early days of Early Access. We know that there’s still a lot of work to done, and we’re working long hours here to support the game.
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again now: Thank you for your support, input and overall enthusiasm for Citadel: Forged with Fire! We know you have high hopes for the future of the game, and we want to promise you that we’re committed to heavily supporting the game in both the short and longterm. We’ll be sharing an Early Access roadmap with you very soon that will detail the next 8-12 months of our development, so stay tuned!
First Patches
Though launch was definitely a moment to celebrate, we understand that this is but the beginning of our Early Access journey. We’ve been working like fiends, preparing fixes for bugs and tweaking balance. Check out our patch notes from the week (and expect another patch later today):

First Content Drop
While our programmers have been chipping away at bugs, our artists have been hard at work preparing our first content drop. Our first such update adds five new crafting recipes for the early levels of the game. Since we know most of you are still finding your footing in Ignus, we figured you’d appreciate a few more early-game options to add a little variety to your experience. Here’s what you can expect from our update later today:
First up is the newest addition to our lineup of armor types: Iron Armor. This set offers fantastic damage resistance at the expense of extreme weight and a difficult set of crafting recipes. Perfect for players adopting a close-range tank-style playstyle.
For those interested in a more barbaric vibe, we’ve also added the brand new Bear Claw Gauntlet. Hunt and kill the savage Bears of Ignus and use their Pelts and Bones to create this intimidating new weapon.
Fantastic Castle Build Contest
We had a community castle building contest earlier this week, and some of the submissions were amazing! Congratulations to our top 5 winners, who won a full copy of the game!
