This is it! Tomorrow’s the big day! Citadel: Forged with Fire will be available for purchase on July 26th!
In addition to preparing a slew of fresh new servers to ensure we are prepared to meet launch demand, we’ve made some final little tweaks to the game’s balance to remove some critical exploits and solve some major bugs.
One of our biggest findings from the playtest was that structures were just too easy to raid. Walls could be smashed down with minimal effort, which cause some players a great deal of frustration. We’ve implemented changes to correct this problem.
We also received a lot of feedback suggesting that XP gained from spam building certain structure pieces was highly exploitable. It’s not ideal for anyone to have spam building of junk structures be an encouraged activity, so we’ve rebalanced a few things to make this a much less effective method of leveling.
Lastly, we made the choice, based on your feedback, to pull chest icons off the map entirely. You made it clear that finding these chests didn’t feel special, and we agree. Now you will be encouraged to explore the world to find these chests on your own, which should overall make the game feel more rewarding.
We’ve also made a few other key bug fixes and tweaks, so take a look at the expanded notes below. We hope to see you in-game very soon!
