In King in the Mountain, you send teams of dwarves underground in search of gold, gems, and ancient artifacts.
Choose where to dig, create efficient routes through the mountain, bring resources back home, and invest everything you recover into a stronger dwarven operation.
But every expedition is limited by one thing: the torch.
The deeper you go, the better the rewards, but once the light goes out, your dwarves need to get back to safety.
Between expeditions, you can expand the Mountain Hall, construct new rooms and workshops, recruit more dwarves, improve their equipment, and prepare to dig even deeper.
What’s New in This Build?
Since the previous closed playtest build, we’ve made several changes based on testing and feedback:
Rebalanced the upgrade tree to improve progression and make upgrade choices feel better throughout the playtest
New building management options - you can now control when production should stop
More building information to make it easier to understand what each part of your Mountain Hall is doing and manage your production
And, of course, there have been plenty of smaller tweaks, fixes, and improvements along the way.
This is still a playtest, so your feedback matters a lot. If something feels confusing, too slow, too fast, broken, or just not fun, please let us know.
