200 Players Have Tried the Demo
Hello everyone! The demo has now been played by over 200 people. While that may not sound like a huge number, it means a lot to me. This is only my second game and my first 3D project, so it's incredibly rewarding to see people from around the world trying it and sharing their thoughts.
Feedback and Lighting Issues
One of the most common pieces of feedback was about the lighting being too dark. After looking into it, I believe this is largely caused by differences in graphics settings between computers. In some cases, certain effects may be disabled, making the game significantly darker than intended. This is something I will definitely address. I also plan to add proper graphics settings and improve the overall lighting system.
While I intentionally wanted parts of the level to feel dark since the game takes place at night, I noticed that in some situations the visuals become much darker than expected. I'll be working on this over the coming weeks by improving the lighting and adding additional light sources where needed.
About the Full Version
The full version of the game will be significantly more polished and ambitious than the demo. The feedback I've received has already been extremely helpful in identifying what needs improvement and what aspects of the experience resonate most with players.
The good news is that the foundation for the project is already in place. Most of the locations are planned out, and the story is close to being fully written. After completing the first level, I have a much better understanding of how to approach the rest of the game and how to make it a stronger and more complete experience.
My goal is for the full game to be around one to one and a half hours long. The price will remain relatively low, so the focus is not on length but on creating dense, atmospheric environments, memorable moments, and scares that feel genuinely effective.
Thank You
Thank you to everyone who played the demo, left feedback, added the game to their wishlist, or simply showed interest in the project. It genuinely means a lot to me. It's also been amazing to see some people making YouTube videos about the game. Watching others experience something you've created is always a special feeling.
The demo is only a very small part of the full experience, and there are still many things I hope will surprise you in the final release. I'll share more updates as development continues. Until then, it's time for me to get back to work.
Thank you again!
Tim
