Hello Sailors!
Following the massive release of The Second Wave, we’ve been keeping a close eye on your feedback and bug reports. Today, we are rolling out two quick follow-up patches (v.036 and v.0361) focused on smoothing out the user experience, enhancing audio cues, and fixing a few critical bugs (including one very expensive cannon!).
Here is what’s changing on The Raft today:
🔊 Audio & Visual Flavor
We want the world to feel alive and give you better tactical awareness during combat.
Assorted Sound Effects: Added a wave of brand-new sound effects and extra environmental flavor across the game.
Incoming Wave Alerts: Added a dedicated sound effect to signal incoming enemy attack waves, giving you a better audio cue to brace for impact.
Shop Organization: Added item category symbols to the shops, making it much easier to scan the shelves and find exactly what you need at a glance.
🛠️ Quality of Life & Economy Tweaks
Fast Exit: You can now press the Escape key to quickly exit shops and return to the main Raft hub, saving you from having to manually left-click out of menus.
Bounty Buff: Bounty rewards have been increased! Completing tasks for the Guild Hall is now significantly more lucrative.
The Inflation Crisis Is Over: Corrected a massive pricing typo for the Holy Cannon. It no longer costs a staggering 15,050 gold and has been adjusted back down to its intended price of 1,500 gold.
🐛 Critical Bug Fixes
Game-Breaker Squashed: Fixed a severe, game-breaking bug that was occurring when using the triple item replacer. Your inventory transitions should now be perfectly safe!
📖 "How to Play" on the Raft: To help you get your bearings in our new town hub, we’ve added a How to Play icon directly into the Raft scene. If you ever need a quick refresher on the game's mechanics, help is now just a click away.
📺 Title Screen Adjustments: We’ve tweaked and polished the main title screen for a cleaner, better-looking first impression when you boot up the game.
