DARK RAIL is a turn-based management roguelike set in a brutal industrial city at the edge of a crumbling empire. Beyond its walls, ancient creatures stir, corrupted forests spread, and heretical cults gather in places the empire has long abandoned.
You have been sent to restore order.
Command the Inquisition from your armoured train and take control of the city’s remaining institutions. Collect taxes, produce supplies, expand your prisons, train your inquisitors, and suppress the growing unrest among the population.
But resources are limited, and every decision carries consequences.
Send your inquisitors into dangerous quests to hunt heretics, investigate unnatural events, and confront the creatures hiding beyond the city. Choose how to approach each encounter, rely on the strengths of your characters, and face the consequences when the dice turn against you.

Survive its full sequence of turns, discover its quests and events, develop your inquisitors, unlock permanent upgrades, and prepare your city for increasingly severe prisoner shipment demands.
Madness will continue to rise. Revolt will spread if the population is pushed too far. Your inquisitors can be wounded or killed, and a single failed decision may place the entire run in danger.
Those who survive the first area will face its final boss in a decisive battle that will test everything they have built, every resource they have preserved, and every inquisitor they have managed to keep alive.
Failure is expected.
Each run allows you to earn permanent progression, strengthen your Inquisition, and return better prepared for the horrors waiting beyond the city.
