In the game, you will form a 4-member squad and, from a third-person perspective, take part in a thousand-year‑long medieval struggle for the throne. Enemies may come from power struggles or from the Black Miasma.
Remember, you only have one life. Falling into corruption or rising above is a matter of a single decision. Every choice you make to survive requires your strategy, luck, and courage.
About the Developer
The developer, DongWu Studio, is made up of a group of high-pressure‑tolerant Darkest Dungeon (DD) players and small animal lovers whose minds have been tested countless times. As a result, in DongWu: Odyssey you will find a combat system inspired by DD, offering a blend of strategic and high‑difficulty gameplay. Added to that is the unique anthropomorphic animal world of DongWu, which brings interesting characters and skills.
Step into this fantastical continent ruled by the DongWu. You can wander between towns and wilderness on the map, encounter random events and map bosses, and obtain precious resources and powerful weapons and equipment.
A Journey Full of Danger and Opportunity
The game's permadeath and Miasma mechanics make sacrifice and madness a common occurrence. How you respond flexibly, make critical decisions, control losses, hoard resources, and eventually create a virtuous cycle is a challenge every player will face through tough trials.
Combat is turn‑based. From skill sets to character designs, every DongWu is uniquely crafted. The diverse roster allows you to use various playstyles to defeat powerful enemies – try out different combinations!
