So here is a list of changes as best as I can recall them:
Further performance improvement's particularly when firing a lot of projectiles at once
More consistent recovery after falling off the map
Some fixes to Achievements
A rebalance of the mines, missiles and autocannon to scale more alike the other upgrades
Fixes to behaviours of the Menace and Starship bosses
A change to the Final Boss to take damage (although reduced) when shot in the face
The protector drones now have a knockback effect so when they group around bosses, shooting them away is an option
Disconnecting controller, alt-tabbing or opening the steam overlay now auto-pauses
Steam Cloud is now set up, as is Steam Input gamepad defaults
There is now a counter at the end of round of how many red stars you've collected
There is now an indicator over the stars menu button displaying if you have options available for purchase
What is next?
For Release:
While the game is feature complete I am currently working on the endless mode, including a way to further upgrade your tank, and for enemies to present more challenge.
And then?
I have tests ongoing for a next project, Tread Heavy was always supposed to be small in scope. After post-release support, I do want to revisit with some optimizations, a couple more enemies and bosses, and challenges within the game that aren't simply destroying enemies, I'd hope to get the game to a point where a 2 hour long round of endless offers enough challenge and variety to feel fun.
Cheers,
Scott
