🔄 Updates Without Maintenance
- 🆕 New — Rolling updates: the world now runs on two servers, and an update goes out to one of them at a time while the other keeps running. When yours updates you'll see "Connection Lost" for several seconds, then you're back on the other server and your fight carries on where it was: the same room, its monsters and your loot. Most updates no longer need a maintenance window.
- 🔄 Change — The trading, crafting and inventory server now starts its new copy before the old one stops, so the Connection Lost screen during an update clears in seconds instead of about two minutes.
- 🆕 New — When an update needs a newer game client, the Update Required screen has a Restart through Steam button: it closes the game and starts it again through Steam, so Steam can bring it up to date.
- 🛠️ Fix — While a server restarted, the game showed a failed network request. It says the server is restarting now.
This update itself still ends any fight that's running when it goes out, because the servers it replaces can't hand fights over. Every update after it can.
🌊 Beast Tide
- 🆕 New — Tide kill board in the fight: your kills this month, your rank, the month's top ten and the title each place earns. With a party up it's the first tab, Kills. It counts the whole month, across every city, wave and room.
- 🔄 Change — The board counts only the kills you land yourself; your pet's kills no longer count toward it. Kills already on this month's board stay.
- 🔄 Change — Clearing a wave rolls your room straight into the next one, with a "Wave Cleared" banner. It used to end the room, which dropped offline hunters, and the "joining next wave" countdown could need a click.
- 🛠️ Fix — After a wave rolled over, your kills still counted toward your tide points at the wave the room started on, so a wave-10 kill paid like wave 1. They count at the live wave now.
- 🔄 Change — The altar's "Beast Tide Kills" was really a points total: each beast you kill yourself is worth its wave number. It's now called Beast Tide Points, with a list of how each wave added up.
- 🔄 Change — The last four waves of a Tier 1 tide climb much faster: wave 7 beasts have 4× the health and hit 1.5× as hard, rising to 10× and 3× at wave 10. Waves 1–6 are unchanged.
- 🛠️ Fix — Leaving and re-entering a tide fight reset your beast soul cooldowns. Your soul timers carry over now.
- 🛠️ Fix — When the database was busy at a wave change, a batch of tide kills could be thrown away. It's tried again now.
- 🛠️ Fix — Monster and pet clips dropped to a stutter in a crowded tide room. Each clip is now drawn once per new frame, and the fight view is capped at 72 fps.
- 🛠️ Fix — A beast finished off by your pet's poison paid you tide and Riftwalker Dao Insight, which no other pet kill does. It pays none now; it still counts as your kill for loot and the wave.
🏛️ Auction House
- 🆕 New — When a sale opens, every registered bidder is seated wherever they are, and a pop-up says your auction has begun, with a button to go to the floor. You can bid from anywhere once it's running.
- 🔄 Change — A sale needs at least 10 registered bidders. Short of that it's called off: every deposit and entry fee comes back, every consigned lot goes home with its listing fee, and the next sale is posted. The lobby shows how many have registered so far.
- 🆕 New — The room ladder: when enough bidders are in the hall as a sale opens, account unlocks join the block — a Tortoise Breath Pearl, a Courier Aviary, a Spatial Ring Expansion and a Soul Clone Slot, each at its own head count. The lobby shows the ladder and what this sale has earned.
- 🆕 New — Legacy arts and summoned legacy beasts now debut at the auction, up to three a sale, oldest approvals first, until each has had its turn.
- 🆕 New — Settled lots on the floor: each shows its hammer price and who it sold to ("Sold to you" for yours), or "Passed in". Click one to see its record on the stage.
- 🆕 New — A proper Consign window: the bag's search and filters, tick up to three items, and set each one's reserve before you submit.
- 🔄 Change — Items you consigned that weren't chosen for a sale come back to your bag when that sale starts, marked "Not chosen for this sale." They no longer sit in review.
- 🔄 Change — Anything won at auction is bound to its winner: it can't be traded, sold to other players, gifted or put back up for auction, and it now says so instead of "you don't own this item". A vendor still buys it.
- 🛠️ Fix — The lot on the block showed a box icon instead of its picture. It shows the item's own art now.
- 🛠️ Fix — After you clicked a lot, or tabbed out, the floor stayed on that lot and stopped showing the live price and bid. A lot you look at now gives way when the block moves on.
- 🛠️ Fix — The floor could read the lot on the block off an old copy of the board, so it didn't move on to the next lot in order. It reads the board fresh when the doors open.
- 🛠️ Fix — Winning a Spirit Beast Contract with a full stable spent your stones and gave no beast. The beast is mailed to your courier now, and claiming it waits for a free slot.
⚒️ Artifact Mastery & Crafting
- 🔄 Change — Craftsman Dao now pays off for every craft, not just smithing: Enchant Scrolls come out stronger, and pills, tonics and talismans come out in bigger batches. Relics are unchanged. Crafting Results shows the extra, e.g. "+15 from Craftsman Dao".
- 🔄 Change — Gathering tools take both mastery paths: Craftsman Dao raises a tool's gather XP when it's forged, and Dao of Artifacts raises it while you use it. The double-yield chance stays as crafted.
- 🔄 Change — Helms, legs, boots, gloves, belts, necklaces and rings take both paths too: Dao of Artifacts lifts each piece you wear at its own tier, and Craftsman Dao lifts a newly forged or appraised one.
- 🔄 Change — Both paths now lift penetration, a Robe's SPR and a Garb's SPD, not just a piece's main stat. Dao of Artifacts applies to what you already wear; Craftsman Dao to new crafts.
- 🛠️ Fix — Equipped gear cards ignored Dao of Artifacts. A worn weapon's ATK, a chest's HP and DEF, and a tool's gather XP show their lifted numbers now, with a gold "Dao of Artifacts +N%" line.
- 🛠️ Fix — Enchant scroll numbers on Tier 2+ gear read 10× to 100,000× too small on gear cards: a T3 Heavenly Sharpening showed +90 where it adds 9,000. They show their true size now.
- 🛠️ Fix — A crafted batch that joined a stack you already had took on the old stack's numbers. A mixed stack now averages them, so a Craftsman Dao batch keeps its bonus and a reagent-fed pill batch keeps its extra power.
- 🛠️ Fix — Relic Forge: the second and later crafts of a batch rolled below the success odds on the card. Every craft uses the odds shown now.
- 🆕 New — While the forge waits on the server it says what it's doing ("Heating the forge…", "Heating the pill furnace…", "Grinding the cinnabar…") instead of sitting still.
- 🛠️ Fix — Crafted pills above low grade showed no picture. Every pill now shows a flask.
- 🛠️ Fix — Dao forging a weapon you'd bought already forged looked like it did nothing, because the equipment screen kept the old numbers until you re-equipped. It updates at once now.
🌀 Qi Control
- 🔄 Change — A breakthrough keeps 75% of your Qi Control (it was 50%).
- 🔄 Change — Qi Control earns its full XP at every level. It used to earn less and less the higher it got.
- 🆕 New — Each level of Qi Control adds 0.5% to your max Qi. The Daoist Path's Qi Control line shows the total.
- 🆕 New — The Qi Cost Breakdown shows the same cast at Qi Control 1 beside yours, so you can see how much your Qi Control takes off.
- 🛠️ Fix — Dao Insight's "Refined channel" card promised a qi cost reduction; what it raises is Qi Control. It says so now.
🐾 Companions & Capturing
- 🔄 Change — Bloodline Suppression: against monsters of R2 and up, a companion whose own realm is below the monster's fights with a tenth of its stats, attack and guard alike, and "Bloodline Suppression" shows over it. This replaces the old cut that went by your own realm.
- 🔄 Change — A surrounded companion now takes the same penalty you do: past 2 attackers its dodge and guard fall away. In the Beast Tide most of a swarm locks onto pets, and they used to shrug off the whole pack.
- 🔄 Change — Capturing now pits your Spirit against the beast's: at equal Spirit nothing changes, a beast with twice your Spirit is about a 5% throw at low HP, and one with ten times yours about 0.04%. The lowest chance a throw could have is gone, and an elite or legacy beast far above its band is no longer scaled down for the throw.
- 🔄 Change — Soul space doubles for everyone, and a Beast Taming Pavilion disciple's grows with sect rank: ×2 per rank, from ×2 as an Outer Disciple up to ×12 as Sect Master Candidate.
- 🔄 Change — A realm ascension needs a sacrifice with at least 80% of the ascending pet's MP. Any same-archetype Heavenstage 10 pet used to do.
- 🔄 Change — Pets can't be brought into the Heavenly Tribulation.
- 🛠️ Fix — A pet you sent to another character, or gave away, kept fighting beside you until the room ended. The room now checks within a minute and sends it home.
- 🛠️ Fix — A renamed pet showed its species name to other players and to your own soul clones. Everyone sees its name now.
- 🛠️ Fix — Feeding a Corrosion reagent to a beast with no Corrosion branch used it up for nothing. It's refused before anything is spent now.
- 🛠️ Fix — Rejecting a summoned legacy beast never refunded its buyer, and a summon that was paid for but never bound couldn't be rejected at all. A rejection refunds the summon now.
- 🛠️ Fix — Monster creation: when the pick-one-of-three screen failed, there was no way back to it. A Choose your beast button reopens it with the same three designs.
⚔️ Combat
- 🛠️ Fix — The gap-closer Cloud Arts (Cloudstep Flash, Riftless Stride, Thunderclap Arrival) never fired for a melee cultivator. When nothing is locked they now blink to the monster you're heading for — the one you clicked, your leader's target, or the nearest while hunting — within their own range, and never through a ruin wall.
- 🆕 New — The Surrounded ×N warning is on the new combat screen when more than 2 monsters are on you.
- 🆕 New — An Iron Ward shield bar under your HP shows how much of the shield is left.
- 🛠️ Fix — The cards at the right of the fight overlapped: on a gathering hex the node card covered the damage board, and the board covered Flash Step, Soul Seal and Stop Attacks. They now stack in one column, and each folds open and shut.
- 🛠️ Fix — Your cultivation aura shoved other players around, because a player without a frame was sized at the frame's edge. It's sized at the portrait now.
- 🛠️ Fix — In a ruin, a monster that couldn't get round a wall to you kept pressing the wall while your pet killed it. After a few tries it now turns on what it can reach.
- 🛠️ Fix — A world boss shoved past the edge of the map got stuck in the corner and was killed there. A shove past the wall sends it back to its spawn point now.
- 🛠️ Fix — Bloodline Awakening: you came back into the second Fire Qilin fight with almost no HP and were knocked out at once. You start it at full HP now.
- 🛠️ Fix — Life steal heals a share of the HP each main hit actually takes off, so the overkill on a killing blow heals nothing, and area splash, extra strikes, damage over time and pet hits don't heal. The texts say so now, and Wind Flurry no longer promises lifesteal on its extra strikes.
- 🛠️ Fix — The Butchery study's log line shows once per species, so it read like a one-time bonus. It applies to every kill, and the line now says so.
🏯 Sects
- 🔄 Change — Stone Ox — Mountain Body is now heavy blows: 3% / 4% / 5% of your trained HP inside each hit, so armour and the realm-gap cut apply to it, but those blows land 50% / 55% / 60% less often. It was 3% / 7% / 12% added after armour.
- 🔄 Change — Azure Sword — Whirlwind hits the enemies in your Cleave arc. Only Standing Wave hits all the way around you.
- 🆕 New — Every Cleave swing draws its reach, a gold wedge out to its full range, so you can watch it grow.
- 🛠️ Fix — The sect active descriptions said "Press R to fire". The key is G.
- 🛠️ Fix — The Sect Explainer read as if Resonance always has Standing Wave and described an old half-second pulse, and the combat log called its hits "Cleave". All three read as it works now.
- 🛠️ Fix — The loadout strip's SECT ART said "Allocate a keystone in the Sect Hall" while a passive Sect Art was live. It shows the passive now.
- 🛠️ Fix — After reincarnating, the inherited sect contribution could land in the wrong branch (Precision instead of the Blademaster path you picked). The tree keeps the path you chose now.
🏟️ Nine Star Arena
- 🛠️ Fix — Hits showed more than the opponent's max HP while their bar barely moved: the numbers were the roll before the arena's own cuts. Every number shows what the hit really took now.
- 🔄 Change — Armour and soul penetration count in the arena the way they do against monsters, and so does "ignores X% armour" (Mountain Body, Mountain Hammer and every other armour-ignoring hit).
- 🛠️ Fix — The slaying art never fired in a duel: the opponent read thousands of percent HP, so no "strike when foe HP ≤ X%" setting could pass. It fires now.
- 🛠️ Fix — Bloodline Transformation showed the opponent's HP above their max instead of raising the max.
- 🛠️ Fix — Every duel's result card said "You defeated Challenger". It names your rival now.
🌌 Riftwalkers & the Jiuli Realm
- 🔄 Change — Only Beast Taming Pavilion disciples can bring their pets into the Jiuli realm. Anyone else's pet waits outside, and the combat log says so.
- 🛠️ Fix — Sealing a rift gate from one room could skip the seal rewards (the cores and the recipe manual) and pay a world-boss box instead. The seal always pays its own rewards now.
- 🛠️ Fix — Stepping through the mirror into the Jiuli realm could leave you on the main map, so every realm hex refused you.
- 🛠️ Fix — A Jiuli realm room paid its clear rewards once for every player in it. It pays once per room now.
🧬 Inheritance & Dao Memory
- 🛠️ Fix — A weapon inherited from a crack came with no tier, so it ignored the realm clamp and hit far above its own. It equips as the weapon it was now.
- 🛠️ Fix — An inheritance that couldn't be delivered was lost. It's released to be claimed again now.
- 🛠️ Fix — When two heirs fought in the same trial, the verdict went to whoever opened the room. Each heir is told their own result now.
- 🛠️ Fix — An inherited secret art arrived named by its internal id ("cloud_driftingcloudstep"). It carries the art's name now.
- 🛠️ Fix — After eating a stat fruit, a stat with Dao Memory still to recover read far over its cap (like "17k / 100") until the next fight. The XP line now says how many memory levels that XP buys next fight.
🎒 Bag, Gear & Items
- 🔄 Change — Starfall: the War Fans and Robes you own keep their ATK and DEF, now named Swords and Cuirasses. Soul Force War Fans and Soul Guard Robes join the Vault as new items.
- 🔄 Change — Riftwalker organs give exactly their card value; breakthroughs and other bonuses no longer multiply them.
- 🔄 Change — The Treasure Vault's flat Iron Body and Soul Guard now raise armour's block rate, as the Daoist Path always showed.
- 🛠️ Fix — Martial Insight Scrolls could be used again and again while you stayed on a hex; only leaving used them up. Tonics, treasure refines and pill slots had the same hole. Each one is used up when you use it now.
- 🛠️ Fix — Inventory search only matched English names. It matches your language now.
- 🛠️ Fix — Gathering tools were skipped by the ring's "sell all of this grade and below".
- 🛠️ Fix — Origin Blood sorted below Commons, and the market's rarity filter had no Primordial option.
- 🛠️ Fix — An armour piece's hover line read "+0 SPD" over a Swiftness enchant. It now shows only what the piece or its enchants give, with the enchant beside it in brackets.
📮 Courier, Market & Trading
- 🔄 Change — An unclaimed gift goes back to its sender after 24 hours (it was 30 days). A catch mailed to you because your stable was full still waits 30 days.
- 🆕 New — The courier box and the dove panel show when each parcel goes back if you leave it ("returns in 9h"), and its sender gets a "Sent back" note when it does.
- 🆕 New — When a send hits a courier limit, it lists which of your parcels are still unclaimed, who holds each one and when it comes back.
- 🆕 New — The market tells you when something sells: a toast names each sale, and your balance goes up right away.
- 🛠️ Fix — The courier badge only lit on a five-minute check or after a reconnect. It lights the moment a parcel arrives now.
- 🛠️ Fix — Spirit stone and City Contribution readouts didn't update after a buy, sale, send or spend, Send Stones among them. Every one refreshes now.
🗺️ World Map & Hunting
- 🛠️ Fix — Auto-explore hung with its toggle still lit once your region had nothing left in range: it picked a hex in another region that you couldn't walk to. It picks only hexes it can reach now, and stops with a message when there are none.
- 🛠️ Fix — Ruin icons vanished from the map after a teleport, or after your first kill inside a ruin, until you reloaded. Your ruins and bought nodes stay on the map now.
- 🛠️ Fix — Arriving at a city from the Clan Village, the City Lord's Mansion treasure roll errored until you'd hunted near the city. It works at once now.
- 🛠️ Fix — Your soul clones on the same hex could land in different rooms. They join each other's room now (room size still applies).
- 🛠️ Fix — The welcome-back card forgot every hex an away auto-explore run had already finished, and could say "No loot fell while you were away" over a real haul. It counts your whole absence and lists what you brought home now.
- 🛠️ Fix — After an auto-explore hop, a "Still in a fight" prompt could pop up over the fight.
🏋️ Training Chambers
- 🔄 Change — Leaving a training chamber shows its own card ("Session Ended", the time you spent, Return to the Hall) instead of the hunting card. Wind Walking now asks before you leave, like Body Forging.
- 🔄 Change — Training chambers and the Reincarnation Altar take their city bonus from the city you're standing in. Enter from the field and you train in the Clan Village rooms.
- 🛠️ Fix — In the Clan Village, asking for a fight while a training room was running only flashed "Already in combat". It offers the Training in Progress choice now.
- 🛠️ Fix — "Training in Progress → Stay" threw you out of the room's screen. Stay keeps you where you are now.
🌱 New Cultivators
- 🛠️ Fix — The armed tutorial fight usually outlasted the guide's patience, so "Continue anyway" appeared while you were still winning. Its first beasts are much weaker now.
- 🛠️ Fix — First breakthrough: the guide's next cards came up on top of the breakthrough video, and its Skip couldn't be clicked.
- 🛠️ Fix — A stat tooltip could open over the guide's first card and cover its Got it button.
- 🛠️ Fix — Opening the sword or plate craft window could leave the guide silent.
- 🛠️ Fix — "Take the portal to the World Map" never ticked if you left the village by the header's World Map button, or simply logged in again.
- 🛠️ Fix — Walking out through the World Gate right after a fight could put you back "in the village" on the server.
- 🛠️ Fix — Two guide ticks at the same moment could undo each other and leave a step open, and a double-clicked Claim paid twice.
- 🛠️ Fix — The guide said auto-explore stops when you disconnect. It keeps hunting for the offline window, and the guide says so now.
- 🛠️ Fix — The Hunting Party pop-up was wrong three ways. It now says a party is up to 5 cultivators, monsters get no tougher for a party, and each drop goes to one random member (a Qi Shard or Origin Blood stays with whoever landed the kill).
💎 Blessing Shop & Steam
- 🛠️ Fix — A Steam purchase was thrown away if you took more than 8 seconds to approve it, under a message saying Steam's window hadn't appeared. Your approval counts however long you take now.
- 🛠️ Fix — Buying through Steam in your browser ended on Steam's own error page. It follows Steam's web flow now and finishes on a page that sends you back to the game.
- 🛠️ Fix — A Sovereign tribute bought through Steam never got its Discord role. Link your Discord and the Qilin, Phoenix or Dragon role comes with it.
- 🛠️ Fix — Buying a signature effect you already own charged you again and gave nothing. It's refused now.
- 🛠️ Fix — Two purchases landing at the same moment could undo one another, and so could a City Contribution earn and spend.
- 🔄 Change — Appearance: a title, avatar, frame or chibi you pick applies on the click (there's no Apply Changes step to miss), and a new No title card lets you wear none.
💬 Chat & Social
- 🛠️ Fix — The chat's Report button did nothing: reports never reached anyone. They reach the moderators now, with the line exactly as it was said.
- 🆕 New — Chat timeouts and bans: a player who's been timed out is told how long is left and why.
- 🛠️ Fix — An old @-mention popped up again on every login and every soul switch. Only new mentions pop up now.
- 🆕 New — Remove Fellow Daoist, at the bottom of a roster row's ⋯ menu.
- 🛠️ Fix — Hunting parties: you could get several invites to the same party, the invite card never closed, and nothing said you'd joined. Joining clears every invite and the log says so, a private Demon Subjugation invite's View puts you in the hunt, and right-clicking an ally to heal hits where they're drawn.
🖥️ Interface
- 🆕 New — Realm Roadmap: the glowing map button at the top left of the title screen shows what's coming, realm by realm.
- 🔄 Change — Tutorial and hint pop-ups you've dismissed stay dismissed on a new computer. They're saved on your account now.
- 🔄 Change — In Qi Condensation your stone balance shows the stones you can spend at your realm's grade; lower grades sit on their own line.
- 🔄 Change — Dao Insight's "Percentage stat gain" shows the % working for you right now. Its hover explains that it's released one heavenstage at a time, and buying a % point asks you to confirm that first.
- 🛠️ Fix — The Dao Insight explainer promised free refunds and a free reset. Every point is permanent, and it says so now.
- 🛠️ Fix — The Daoist Path's DEF breakdown showed a formula that didn't produce its numbers. Each line shows the real figures now.
- 🛠️ Fix — Trump-card hotkeys got mixed up between soul clones. A beast soul's card is its kind now, so the same key works on every clone.
- 🛠️ Fix — Secret Art comprehension could show LOCKED on a clone you loaded straight into a hunt.
- 🛠️ Fix — The Daoist Path's Artisan Dao levels didn't update while you gathered.
- 🛠️ Fix — Emoji could draw as boxes on older systems, like the 1-year Ironheart Fruit in the Soul Garden. The game's own emoji font is used everywhere now.
🌐 Languages
- 🛠️ Fix — Two more translation sweeps: hundreds of lines across the game now read in your language, among them the avatar commission and Steam tribute shop items, the mine's node legend and the elixir lines in the combat log.
⚡ Performance & Art
- 🛠️ Fix — The servers' last brief stalls (about a tenth of a second, a few times a minute) are gone: Kill Order rogues are looked up hex by hex instead of all at once.
- 🔄 Change — Connecting from far away is quicker: the servers use a faster secure handshake (TLS 1.3, one round trip instead of two).
- 🆕 New — The art for 19 avatar commissions and the animated clips for 17 summoned legacy beasts are in this update.
- 🆕 New — The Tea House guide has new and corrected entries.
🙏 Thank you for every bug report and suggestion in the Discord. Most of this patch came straight from you.
