450 copies, a mid-game update teaser... and mustaches

Hey everyone!

I wanted to write this post once I hit 500 copies sold, but I really can't wait to share a little teaser of the next update, so here we are XD

Thank you for 450 copies sold! That's an incredible amount of support for my Early Access project. And judging by the reviews and discussions, you're enjoying the game - which is one more huge reason to keep going.

Now, to the main point.

As I wrote earlier, I've been hard at work on a new update for a while now - this one is not about the Life aspect, but about management, and it lays the foundation for the mid-game. A lot of great ideas came from you, and I've tried to work those in too.

This update should add some scale to what's happening and start moving the player away from the most routine tasks - if not full automation yet, then at least the feeling of growing beyond them.

Here's a quick rundown - the full breakdown will come with the update itself:

1. Office expansion. You'll be able to buy an additional wing - more space, plus some new mechanics.

2. A new project type: time & materials / agile. A project managed by your Lead, not you. You observe and solve problems - no micromanagement.

3. Office policies. Yes, at some point the boss will trust you enough to let you decide what rules apply in the office XD

4. A living HR + candidate search.

5. A sales department - to give a boost to the clients you actually need.

6. Trash, cleaning, and a janitor. Because you kept telling me there's sometimes nothing to do. Well, now you can pick up trash.

7. Difficulty selection. Or rather, the option to pick an easier difficulty. The current one stays as is - that's Normal.

What's NOT in this update:

1. No new content for the home and the PM's life in general.

2. No resource planning and no hiring other PMs yet.

I've mentioned these things here and there, but they're more of a "future" conversation than early mid-game.

Oh, and the most important thing. You'll be able to choose a mustache now.

What about timing?

Right now I'm actively testing and polishing the update. I'd also like to squeeze in some new events, maybe new achievements - not sure yet how much I'll manage while testing. I still have your reported bugs to fix, after all. I haven't really touched the early-game balance, because I think I've found the difficulty level I like. But either way, you'll be able to pick an easier mode.

I'm doing everything I can to release this update by the end of September. I think I'll make it!

Thanks again for all the support. Expect more news in a couple of weeks!
