Thank you to everyone who has played Anomalogenos.
This is a major update that includes new content.
Major updates are released on the 28th of every month and include new content.
In this update, we’ve addressed player requests and added new skills.
Nearly half of the newly added skills are based on the concept of utilizing enemies’ bodies.
Skill Update Details
New Active Skills
1: Deals 100 fixed damage to an enemy.
If a random check is successful afterward, it deals an additional 2x fixed damage; this repeats as long as the check succeeds. The damage cap is 3,200.
2: Deals 100 fixed damage to an enemy.
Each time this skill is activated during the same battle, the next damage dealt is doubled. The damage cap is 6,400.
3: Dismantles the nearest enemy not currently in combat and turns it into a disposable shield.
4: Dismantles the nearest enemy not currently in combat and fires it as a standard projectile toward the opponent.
5: Enrages the nearest enemy not currently in combat, causing that enemy to execute its area attack using the player’s projectiles.
6: Copies and retains the opponent’s area attack.
If already copied, execute the saved area attack with the player’s projectile and revert to the state before copying.
7: Generate the spirit form of the nearest non-combat enemy. The spirit form can be used for part disassembly.
8: Disassemble the nearest non-combat enemy and turn each part into a turret that lasts for {0} seconds.
9: Disassemble the nearest non-combat enemy and turn it into a weak orbiting blade.
10: Convert orbiting shields into orbiting turrets equal to {0}% of their number.
11: Convert all orbiting blades into orbiting fragile shields.
12: Convert orbiting turrets into orbiting blades equal to {0} times their number (rounded up).
13: Become invincible for a set duration, but you will be unable to deal damage to enemies.
New Passive Skills
1: When a projectile hits an enemy, there is a certain chance that subsequent normal damage will be increased by 1. However, the maximum increase is +25.
2: When dealing fixed damage, there is a certain chance that subsequent fixed damage will be increased by 4. However, the maximum increase is +100.
3: Increases the damage cap for skills with a damage cap.
4: Guarantees a fixed amount of damage, no matter how low it is. This applies before the enemy HP percentage guarantee.
5: When calculating damage based on a percentage of an enemy’s current HP, treats the enemy’s HP as higher than it actually is.
6: Increases the fixed damage dealt by charges.
7: Makes the outer perimeter of enemy area-of-effect attacks passable.
8: Reduces damage from enemy projectiles (excluding normal attacks and area-of-effect attacks) by half.
9: There is a 20% chance that enemy projectiles (excluding normal attacks and area-of-effect attacks) will not be fired when they are supposed to be.
10: At the start of combat, generates the spirit form of the last enemy defeated. The spirit form can be used for part disassembly.
11: All non-combatant enemies within a certain distance are also treated as additional targets for skills that target non-combatant enemies.
12: Generates all turrets as small fish drones that carry parts and swim.
The maximum number of small fish drones is 32.
13: At the start of combat, generates an orbiting blade. The blade has an attack power equivalent to 10 rounds and decays with each hit.
14: Increases the damage dealt by the blade.
15: When the blade deals damage, reduces the probability of damage decay to a fixed value.
16: Increases the number of rounds equivalent to the generated blade.
17: When a blade is destroyed due to decay, it fires at a random direction from the player.
・List of Adjusted Skills
Nerf to Guaranteed Percentage of Fixed Damage:
For skills that deal a guaranteed percentage of the target’s remaining HP as fixed damage, the guaranteed percentage has been reduced by half,
and the cap has been limited to 5 times the original damage.
However, in exchange, skills that increase the cap and skills that boost percentage damage have been added, allowing them to be effective in more complex builds than before.
Buff to Skills That Deal Large Amounts of 0 Fixed Damage:
Since the cap on the guaranteed percentage of fixed damage mentioned above was set to 5 times the base damage, skills that dealt 0 damage no longer received any benefit. Therefore, these skills have been changed to deal 1 damage instead of 0.
Changes to Fixed Damage for Charge Skills:
For the various types of charge skills, the fixed damage dealt upon hitting an enemy has been adjusted so that skills that are harder to land deal higher fixed damage when they do hit.
Other Update Details
・Added a skill category filter feature
A feature has been added to the passive skill inventory that allows you to filter and display only skills belonging to specific categories.
・Added new visuals
The visuals for turrets, shields, and blades have been updated.
・Added a function to leave combat (surrender) during battle
You can now surrender by holding down the G key during combat, allowing you to leave the battle at any time. The required hold time for the G key is set to be shorter only when leaving a battle against a dummy.
・Fixed the text that appears when picking up flowers on the ground
We have fixed the text that appears when picking up flowers on the ground so that the message “Reduces defeat energy by 1,” which was supposed to be displayed, now appears correctly. Additionally, if the reduction cannot be lowered any further, the text “Defeat Energy Reduction is already at the minimum” will now be displayed.
・Screen Navigation via the Tabs on the Right Side of the Screen
While you can switch between various screens using the tabs on the right side of the screen, the game has been updated so that you can return to the main screen from any screen by pressing the Esc key.
Furthermore, when you are already on the main screen, pressing the Esc key will now open the settings screen.
・Addition of the Pause Function
While you can now open the Settings screen with the Esc key during combat or in the main menu during non-combat, the game will now pause when you do so.
This allows you to pause the game at any time.
Additionally, the game will now pause while the Help screen is open.
・Fix for Incorrect Fish ID Specification in Quests
We have fixed an issue where a non-existent enemy ID was being specified in quests after clearing the final dungeon.
Currently, even in quests after clearing the final dungeon, only enemies equivalent to those found in the final dungeon will appear.
However, quests that have already been accepted, as well as quests listed before the update, still contain IDs that no longer exist. These quests are simply impossible to complete; canceling them or taking similar action will resolve the issue.
That concludes this update.
Some of the items announced previously could not be completed in time and have been postponed.
The following items have been postponed:
・ Implementation of the Altar of Wishes
・ Addition of regular dungeons
・ Changes to special drop rules
・ English translation
・ Restoration of the bestiary
・ Ammo optimization
These items were mentioned in the September update plan, and we plan to reschedule them in future implementation plans.
Any features that are completed early will be included in the update on September 14.
The next update is scheduled for September 14, and we plan to release a medium-scale update at that time.
