The floaty duck
Ready to make waves? Welcome Ducko, the floaty starter in Power Pets! Newly born Duckos are unable to swim and rely on a floaty to keep them above water. They tend to form in groups (particularly in lines) and are either surrounded by Floateaks or a Beaksavo to prevent them from going underwater.
Duckos tend to be very playful in nature and enjoy their time in the water. Although they venture to the land once in a while, it is often just out of curiosity before they readily waddle back to calm waters.
Typing: Water and Moveset
Ducko Generates a powerful orbiting attack that shines at close range, rewarding aggressive positioning. Ducko learned this style of attack from its very own floaty - as if protecting the player in one big floaty as well.
Ducko's active ability is Freezing Nova. Ducko's floaty briefly becomes icy, before erupting in a freezing nova around himself, knocking back and chilling everything in range. Due to their reliance of their floaty, the ice nova was created to help it protect other Duckos nearby.
Stage 1 Evolution: Floateak
Floateak is the first stage evolution of Ducko. With now much more developed arms allowing it to rival even elite human swimmers, Floateak is able to swim on its own more freely. It is still seen in packs of Duckos - often protecting it's fellow ducks - but occasionally swims on its own as it enjoys its newly found strength.
The floaty is now divided around both its arms, giving it more bouyancy around its arms. This new change gives Floateak the ability to focus and train its arms completely while practicing to swim.
Final Evolution: Beaksavo
Beaksavo is the final evolution of Ducko. No longer relying on a floaty, Beaksavo is able to swim on its own. It has broken all human records for swimming and resulted in a new swimming league just for Beaksavos.
With a strong heart, Beaksavos take it upon themselves to look after fellow Duckos and Floateaks - and often train them to improve their skills in the water. They will be seen around packs but also even near human life savers by the beaches to save any distressed humans caught in tides.
