Hey all!
We received a great amount of responses to our first playtest of Castle Away, and we're super happy with all the suggestions, feedback and comments on the current build. We've been checking out all feedback, and we’ve just pushed a pretty big update to the build!
To give everyone time to try out the new features, we are keeping the playtest open until May 11th, 10AM PDT / 7PM CEST.
New in this build:
Mac & Linux Native Support: Castle Away is heading to Linux and Mac! Players can now try out the game natively across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Controller Support: Whether you are kicking back on the couch or testing it out on a handheld, the UI and controls have been fully mapped for controller play.
Various Fixes & Improvements: We’ve implemented various adjustments based on your suggestions and feedback. This includes quality-of-life improvements, balance adjustments, and a smoother gameplay loop.
We need your help! In this patch, we are especially looking for feedback on the new platforms (Linux and Mac) and Controller support. Please try it out and let us know what you think using the feedback form right on the title screen.
Thanks for playing and see you in the next update!
René, Sim and Matthijs
