Hello there, adventurer!
Poty here.
Today I’d like to talk about exploration events.
An exploration event is what happens after every exploration action you take in TAE RPG.
At the moment, there are four different types of exploration events:
A combat encounter;
An event location;
An NPC encounter;
A quest encounter.
Let’s take a quick look at each one.
A combat encounter
Each location (villages or towns) has its own set of foes wandering nearby, ready to ambush you.
An event location
While exploring, you may stumble upon a cave, a camp, or other points of interest. It’s up to you whether to inspect them or move on. Some of these locations may hide secrets, and even multiple floors. Just remember to bring a teleport scroll… you might need it. 📜
An NPC encounter
You might meet a merchant, a messenger, or someone in distress. Whether you decide to interact with them is entirely your choice.
A quest encounter
Some quests require you to meet a specific NPC or inspect a particular location. These encounters can also appear after an exploration action. ❗
Beyond exploration itself, you’ll also be traveling between locations and entering places within them (inns, taverns, and more).
Each place offers different services, so knowing where you are and what is available to you can make all the difference.
That's it.
I'll come back later with some more features.
