Hey Nephilim,
Thank you once again for your patience, and for all your help reporting bugs and sharing feedback with us.
Team Metal has been hard at work, and we’re happy to say Hotfix 1.0.2 isn’t far away. Assuming everything goes to plan with testing, we’re aiming to have the update in your hands next week. We’ll share an official date once testing is complete and we have confirmation from our platform partners on when the update can ship.
In the meantime, we wanted to give you a little more insight into what we’re targeting with 1.0.2.
Like our last hotfix, there are a lot of fixes in this update - in fact, we’ve addressed even more bugs than we did with 1.0.1. We’ve continued to prioritise the issues you’ve been reporting to us most, and we’ll share the complete patch notes once the update is live. For now, some of the key areas we’re targeting include:
Save & progression fixes, with further work to protect player progress and address issues that can cause progress to be lost or reset.
Co-op fixes, including issues affecting progress, gear, connections and interrupted sessions.
Combat, Boon & boss fixes, addressing issues with Boons, Weapon Arts, enemies and boss encounters.
Run-blocking fixes, addressing objectives and other issues that can prevent players from progressing through a run.
Crash, performance & camera fixes across PC and consoles.
A note on controller remapping
Our previous roadmap listed controller button remapping for Hotfix 1.0.2, and we want to be transparent that this has now moved to Patch 1.1.
While controller remapping might seem relatively straightforward from the outside, implementing it has presented some additional challenges. We’ve encountered issues during development that we want to resolve before putting the feature in your hands.
We know this is something players have been asking for, and we understand that hearing it has moved to a later update may be disappointing. We’d rather take a little more time and make sure it works properly than release it before it’s ready. Thank you for bearing with us.
Beyond 1.0.2, Patch 1.1 is planned for October, bringing further quality-of-life improvements across gear, the Blacksmith, Boons, run progression, rewards, controller customisation and co-op.
And beyond that...
Well, we’ll leave you with this and let you speculate about what’s coming next.
Thank you again for your continued support, patience and feedback. We’ll have much more to share when Hotfix 1.0.2 arrives next week.
