The Rift Rebels are officially out on Steam! And yes, I launched a bit ahead of schedule — sometimes things just come together faster than planned!
When creating this game, I drew heavy inspiration from classic side-scrolling action games of the 16-bit era. Specifically, the Sega Genesis (Mega Drive) — one of my all-time favorite consoles.
The soundtrack was crafted with that same inspiration. I aimed to capture the iconic sounds and atmosphere of the Sega era, blending them with a modern twist.
If you love classic gameplay, and a touch of nostalgia, I hope you'll like the game!
