We've released the next patch as a beta build initially, since we've reworked some of the elk hunting grounds/spawning code in ways that might create new issues. We'd appreciate any help testing it and reporting how it works.
This build also has a few tweaks to the wolf-controller: mainly increasing the range of steering sensitivity in the Game Settings, to allow players to pick a sensitivity more to their liking, plus a few other tweaks that might refine the feel of camera and steering. (We are planning on a major redesign of the camera/wolf controls in a future update, but we hope this relatively minor adjustment will help in the meantime.)
To download the beta: Right-click on WolfQuest in your Steam Library, then choose Properties. Then click the BETAS tab, and select the "wqbeta" option in the pulldown menu. Then click Close and the beta version should begin downloading. (If you don't see "wqbeta" listed there, quit and restart Steam.)
Later, you can switch back to the live version in the same place, just select "NONE - opt out of all beta programs" in that pulldown, and Steam will download the live version.
