New Objective Tracker Added to the Demo
Hi everyone,
we have released a new small update for the Liminal Backrooms demo.
After watching players explore the offshore platform and reading your feedback, we noticed that some objectives were clear, but finding their location could sometimes take too long.
To improve the pacing of the introductory level, we have added a new Objective Tracker.
How does it work?
For selected objectives, you can now press Q to display the distance to the current target.
The system does not provide a direction or place a marker directly in the world.
Instead, players can use the changing distance to understand whether they are moving closer to or farther away from the objective.
Guidance without removing exploration
The Objective Tracker is only available during selected parts of the tutorial.
Some sections still require players to explore the platform and understand its layout on their own, while the tracker is used during objectives where excessive searching could slow down the experience.
Our goal is to reduce unnecessary wandering without removing exploration or the feeling of navigating an unfamiliar place.
We will continue watching how players progress through the demo and improving the experience based on feedback and gameplay data.
Thank you for playing and supporting Liminal Backrooms.
