🌴 Weekly Development Update – Isla Paradiso
Hello Islanders 👋
This week was all about bringing the island to life and making threats feel more impactful. From villager behavior to pirate raids, Isla Paradiso now feels more dynamic and reactive than ever.
👥 Livelier Villagers
Idle villagers no longer just stand around doing nothing.
🪑 Idle workers now sit on benches
🗣️ Villagers gather and talk at plazas
Settlements feel more alive even during downtime
This small change adds a lot of personality to your towns and makes public spaces feel meaningful.
🏴☠️ Pirate Raids Got More Dangerous
Pirate raids are no longer limited to a few targets.
Pirates can now attack homes directly
Pirates throw flames at buildings, causing fire damage
Raids feel more chaotic, destructive, and urgent
Defenses and city layout matter more than ever — ignoring pirates can now seriously hurt your population and economy.
🌳 Improved Woodcutting & Nature Regrowth
Forests now behave more naturally.
When woodcutters chop trees, stumps remain
Trees now regrow over time
Woodcutting feels more grounded and sustainable
This adds both visual polish and better long-term resource flow.
🚧 What’s Next
Upcoming focus areas:
More villager interactions & animations
Additional polish for raids and destruction
Continued improvements to mid-game depth
As always, your feedback helps shape Isla Paradiso during Early Access.
Thanks for playing and supporting the project 💙
