🌟🌟Thanks to the community🌟🌟
Since the last update, nearly 400 games have been played by around 50 players.
Thank you to everyone who plays, tests, shares feedback, and helps improve Geobeast.
More is coming soon, but in the meantime, here is what’s new...
Free view & navigation
Direct access to the free view from the menu, allowing you to see all countries and their names.
After a game, you can now review the map and see which countries were not found.
Fixed a zoom bug that could affect globe navigation
Improved smoothness when resizing the globe to prevent slowdowns
Performance & stability
Overall improvement to interface smoothness
Fixed a memory leak related to leaderboard events
Optimized CPU / GPU usage: the globe animation now pauses when the page is inactive
Improved internal performance thanks to a memory cache for certain local data
Leaderboard & ranking
Added a "NEW" badge on recent scores (less than 48 hours). The tooltip now displays the exact age of the score (e.g. 4h 18m ago)
Improved ranking system: with the same score, a better time now updates your position
Major optimization to leaderboard loading: data now loads in parallel, with displays up to 70% faster
Clearer and more reliable display of recent performances in the leaderboard
Search & game consistency
Optimized country search for faster and more reliable results
Short ISO codes (fr, de, etc.) are no longer accepted. Only full country names or valid aliases now work (nice try, smart ones 😉)
General consistency improvements and minor bug fixes
