Greetings esteemed colleagues,
Happy Next Fest to all! Our demo is live and we’ve already been getting great feedback from all of you who have been contributing to science.
The demo will be live until February 12th so be sure to give it a go (and bring your friends)!
Release Date Announcement!
Abiotic Factor is set to release May 2nd, 2024! To celebrate the news, we’ve got a brand new trailer for you! Check it out below.
Confirmed Languages
At this time we have fully voiced audio in English which will be ready upon release. We are looking into other languages for audio in the future.
In terms of subtitles, we have several languages that we are able to share with you at this stage.
- Russian
- Brazilian Portuguese
- German
- Ukrainian
- French
- Spanish
- Polish
And we are looking into adding more languages as we can.
With that out of the way, let's dive into showing off some of the new stuff coming to the GATE Cascade Research Facility!
Shelving and Storage
Want more variety in your base decorating? Need a place to store your soup? A lofty throne? We’ve got you covered with our brand new shelves!
That’s right, we’re increasing vertical building options to help you make the base of your dreams!
We’ve also made storage crates stackable to save you space without losing slots.
Defense Bot
“Field tests on the new Defense Bot upgrade have shown an almost 250% improvement in area denial, and a 400% increase in target-specific lethality. We expect approval shortly for deployment to security locations above Red Tier across all GATE facilities. Additional note: The ‘contractors’ found them extremely helpful on the latest op to secure 121. I think I even got a thank you, but ... it's hard to tell sometimes.” ~ Log from R. Strauss, Security Director
Wheely Chairs
“Yesterday I encountered a trio of staff members - whom I shall not name at this time - riding office chairs down vehicle ramps on Level 2. I want to make it completely clear that this sort of behaviour is dangerous to all those concerned, forklift operators, and anyone nearby. Chairs are for SITTING, not riding around like maniacs. I'll take the damn wheels off myself if I catch this happening again.” ~ Email from R. Moyer, Supervisor, Office Sector
We are glad to see that members of the community have already begun enjoying the office chairs! And are using them very responsibly, we may add.
