Gone Digging Is Now Live for Steam Next Fest
The caves are open.
We’re excited to share that Gone Digging is part of Steam Next Fest, and the free playable demo is available right now.
🗓️ February 23 - March 2
You don’t have to wait.
Grab your shovel and head underground.
The Free Demo Is Out Now
Starting today, you can:
Explore the early cave layers in 1-4 player online co-op
Mine valuable loot and sell it to the roaming merchant
Upgrade your tools and push deeper underground
Face the sacrifice system when night falls
Experience what happens when the offering isn’t enough
The demo introduces the full core loop:
Dig by day.
Decide what to keep.
Decide what to sacrifice.
Survive the night.
WHAT AWAITS BELOW
Gone Digging is built around rising tension and risky decisions.
In the demo, you’ll experience:
The dig → loot → upgrade → sacrifice cycle
Risk vs reward economy choices
Dynamic day/night shifts
Escalating danger if the entity isn’t satisfied
Co-op moments that quickly turn into panic
The deeper you go, the more valuable the loot becomes.
And the harder it is to let it go.
