Over 20 small patches went live these 2 last months so it's time for a recap!
As always, the points listed here are only the ones concerning the demo.
Majority of work and changes are related to the full game content and are not listed here.
Patchnote:
- New:
New mini-zone was added hidden behind a waterfall.ːsteamhappyː
Wolves now have a 5% chance to drop fangs.
Animated elements were added to the environment such as grass moving with the wind.
Werewolf now drops some werewolf meat (instead of regular meat).
Many animals were added wondering around in the enviromnent.
Items are now stored in different categories (weapons, armors, accessories, potion, food, materials, upgrades, others).
During combat, only the potion, food and others categories are available to use.
Items are automatically sorted by value (the most valuable items first).
The selling price for items is automatically shown when opening the sell tab of a shop keeper without having to check individually for each item.
Quest items (requiring to use them in your inventory) are now marked with a red exclamation point.
A new treasure map system has been added to the game allowing to add new point of interest to the world map and visit new small zones.
An optional boss has been added to the demo for the first treasure map. This includes new rewards and even a new unique skill.
New gold or silver frames have been added around specific mobs or boss HP bar.
- Fixes and balancing:
Some status effect descriptions were missleading. This has been improved.
Some collisions issues were improved. For some paths, it was unclear if they were blocked or reachable... It should be clearer now.
If you managed to get a tool twice (such as the pickaxe, shove...), it was impossible to sell them. The blacksmith in Helrow now accepts to buy them for a small price.
The name "Globlin" is finally changed to "Gobelin". It was actually not a typo but a test at translating a strange word "Globzoul" from the novel. "Gobelin" is easier to understand.
The main quest was blocked if Nelia was still level 14 when offering her the Moonforge ring. This is now fixed as she will always be at least level 15 at this point.
Force the player to kill or tie-up the Succubus before facing the Warlock.
Add glowing effect on some important interactive elements that were not correctly marked.
Sometimes when using items (for example using food just before a fight), the items menu was not showing the heroes faces. This is now fixed and their faces should always appear.
Improve the light effect and performance in dark places (such as caves)
A breaking change was introduced making previous saves potentially broken (with Tobin having no spells). This should not happen anymore including for previous saves.
More save checkpoints were added including before AND after important fights.
Some items descriptions were reworked.
When starting a quest, the new of the quest is now shown in the new question window.
If you interracted with the avallon graveyard stelae before going to Malo's house with Bjorn, Bjorn could appear twice in the house. This is now fixed. (Impressive what a typo in a variable id can doːsteamfacepalmː).
First zone tutorial is now cleaner and easier to understand.
After leaving the equipment shop in Avallon, Bjorn was sometimes comenting what happened, sometimes not... This is now deterministic and not random.
After failing to decipher the stelae in Avallon, it was impossible to interact with it again. This is now fixed.
The animations in the training ground in Avallon were a bit too loud and flashy. They have been reduced.
The Shaman Diary will be part of the party-based RPG fest on steam from 14 to 21 September!
If you haven't yet, don't hesitate to try the huge demo with over 8 hours of free content! Feedback is so valuable to me!
