A lot of small updates have gone live, so it's time for a quick summary!
While some improvements made it into the demo, most of the work currently focuses on post-demo content and is therefore not included in this patch notes.
Patchnote:
- New:
Fight-specific tips: Died to a boss? You can now ask for tips after your defeat and receive advice specific to that encounter.
No more generic tips that spoil mechanics from other fights!
In-game achievements: Want to see everything you've already accomplished? Curious about what still lies ahead? You can now check your achievements directly from the in-game main menu through a dedicated button.
Note: this system is currently not linked to Steam achievements, as this is still the demo version.
Items quality colors: Every item from consumable to armors and weapons now have a specific color representing its quality:
- Green = Common
- Blue = Rare
- Purple = Epic
- ?? steammocking
Equipment menu revamp: The equipment menu has been completely redesigned with a more modern layout, replacing the old list-based interface.
Equipment in-battle visuals: Just equipped a brand new weapon or a heavy shield?
Your equipment is now visually reflected during battles!
Actor visuals update dynamically based on their current equipment.
Loot visual during fight: Loot is now visually displayed when enemies die during battle.
- Fixes and balancing:
Cauterization no longer simply removes Bleeding — it now prevents it from being applied for the duration of the effect.
Manual saves via statues now store the name of the currently active quest (visible in the save file).
Some dialogue portraits were low resolution and have been reworked with higher quality assets.
Bastion Shield now heals only when receiving physical damage (previously triggered by any damage).
Wolves in Dark-Grove Caves now respawn every 5 minutes (previously 10 minutes).
Several dialogues, item descriptions, icons, and UI elements were updated to improve readability.
Demonic Arrow Mastery
Now increases both damage and stored damage during the effect duration
Initial bonus reduced from 50% → 30%
Added new equipment slots for gloves and boots
Teaser:
While a few of the new features made it into the demo, most of the current development focuses on post-demo content.
This includes:
Finalizing Valdroit village
New boss fights
Additional mechanics
New equipment sets
Here is a preview of a few Level 25 set bonuses (activated when wearing the full set):
Shaman Support Set Cauterization is applied to all allies, but costs 30 CP and has a 5-turn cooldown.
Hunter Defensive Set Killing an enemy restores 20% of maximum HP.
Mage Offensive Set Burning an already burning enemy doubles the damage and refreshes its duration.
Additional mechanics involving enemy shields and elemental vulnerabilities are also on the way!
Enjoy the current content, knowing that the future of the game will become even more strategic — and hopefully even more fun! steamhappy
