Driver and defensive tower
Nowadays, almost all defensive towers can be equipped with a driver, providing various numerical bonuses.
Drivers have a similar level system and can be combined like towers. Therefore, card packs are no longer the main source of defensive towers, but rather the source of driver cards.
In a single game round, the defense towers available to us are tied to specific characters and are unlocked as the number of rounds increases.
Of course, in the current version, we can only choose Haisi, the world's worst novice instructor.
In version 0.6, all drivers will have a brief one-line introduction, along with different attribute bonuses.
Redesign of the power system
The electricity flowing in the nodal network is now visible, just like water flow, and it is no longer distributed instantaneously.
This means that the location of the generator becomes relevant, and different nodes have different capacitances. After a fully charged node explodes, it will also release an electric chain.
The mechanism of the towers that launch electric chains for attack has also changed, with some discharge towers requiring full charging before they can attack.
The mechanism of laser towers has also been differentiated. Their attacks consume heat and electricity, and when operating at high speed, they can even cause negative temperature in the node network.
Redesign of thermodynamic system
Now, the heat in the tower not only flows out into the void but also spreads to the nodes and connecting lines. We simulated the heat spread using a simple method based on potential energy difference. This also includes the newly added temperature visual effects. Overall, the heat is more evident, making our heat exhaust tower even more important.
Of course, this game is not a proper thermodynamic simulation. In the game, temperature can be infinitely positive or negative, and with the use of some special effect towers, nodes can even freeze, creating peculiar visual effects.
