Exploring in CHKN can turn into a National Geographic episode from time to time. The new environment is huge compared to the pen in the demo. There are beaches, mountains, forests and prairies, and there is much to discover!
When the sun starts to set, little lights may appear in the distance (or close by in which case, AAAAHHH!) It's a herd of Octocrabs, and they are equipped with Anglerfish Lures to light their way in the night. They travel in packs and protect their eggs, so be careful!
Dev Tip: When you are in Adventure Mode and you are hunting for creature parts to make your first creature, chop down some Exploding Fruit Trees. Take the exploding fruit and find one of these herds. You can either attack them for their parts, crack open their eggs for parts, or (if you have enough food) tame them so you can use them to help you explore in the night!
