I found that early game doesn't quite incentivize for strategic placement, and having Soft Pillow and Chandelier as random filler cards that'd still be an overwhelming presence in your bag even when starting to add new fragments, I've added an effect to each of them!
These little effects, early game, can make a huge difference! On top of that, after feedback I decided to change the way Bond Pets work. Right now, there's a little bit of bias to how they're rolled into the shop, to make them feel rare, more powerful, however, without transparency this could lead to frustration (oops I apologise).
So there'll be a somewhat big overhaul here, too!
Gameplay Changes:
Bond Pets overhaul: On this new patch, instead of having bias to force rarity on the bond pets, a new implementation has been made: there's no more limit to when a bond pet can appear in the shop, it's mixed in with the rest of the pool now.
The initial cost of ANY bond pet now starts at 5, but every time you buy a bond pet, the price increases for the next one! On top of that there's a change to Dog Whistle that's further down these notes.
All of this combined means that you're more likely to get your first 4 bond pets, for a lower total price, but after the initial 4, it might cost you!
Basic Fragments:
- Soft Pillow: New Effect! "For each Chandelier above or below this, gain 2 Dust."Base Dust 5 -> 4 Stability 3 -> 4
- Chandelier: New Effect! "For each Soft Pillows to the left or right of this, gain 1 Essence."
- Inception: Stability 3 -> 5
- Dust Shroom: Stability 4 -> 5
Pet Fragments:
- Dog Whistle: New Effect! "Waking up with a Dog Whistle as your last fragment, will guarantee a Bond Pet in your next Lucid Exchange"! Stability 3 -> 4 Swift Fragments
- World Record: Fixed an issue where testing values would override the intended values.. hehe I hope y'all got some quick wins in before this patch!
What to expect next:
- An implementation to help you stop negative early game snowballing.
- Small tweaks to the Pets support fragments.- A new effect for Hyperlink (Swift bag).
- Cloud save (!?)
I'll also make sure to get a roadmap up with plans for the full release. Thank you all for playing, goodnight!
All feedback is appreciated! 💜
