Hello everyone!
Today is a massive milestone for us. As we officially launch the Steam page for SlotsNStocks, we wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves and share a bit of the story behind the game.
Who is Nightforge Studios?
We are an independent team of three based out of Colorado, driven by a passion to create fun engaging experiences for players. Our studio was founded on the idea of pushing boundaries and creating unique visual experiences that feel fresh and exciting. For us, every line of code and every pixel is shaped with the goal of transporting players into worlds worth experiencing.
Meet the Team:
Chase (Lead Developer & Creative Director): I oversee the vision of our projects, ensuring that our technical architecture and creative goals align to make something remarkable.
Mason (Programmer & Composer): Mason wears two vital hats, handling the logic that makes the game run and the soundscapes that bring the atmosphere to life.
Tim (Lead 2D Artist): Tim brings a completely unique perspective to the team. Originally a traditionally trained tattoo artist, he has translated those years of ink and needle experience into a distinct pixel art aesthetic. This blend of styles gives SlotsNStocks a visual identity you won't find anywhere else.
The Journey of SlotsNStocks
We’ve been hard at work on this project for nearly a year, evolving it from a wild "what if" concept into the stock market manipulation roguelike you see today.
Our biggest influences come from a love of high stakes roguelikes and the chaotic energy of strategy games. We drew a lot of inspiration from titles like Luck Be a Landlord, Balatro, Dungeons and Degenerate Gamblers, and more. These inspirations have pushed us to create something unique, engaging, and maybe even a little addictive.
What’s Next?
This is just the beginning. We’re incredibly excited to have you along for the ride as we head toward launch. Please feel free to join our community, ask questions, and share your thoughts.
Thank you for supporting indie development and for checking out SlotsNStocks!
