We've just updated a new version of SAF for you all to enjoy. It's a lot more balanced we thinks, you can really struggle as Tahiti vs Germany.
What's new?
- Skip Replay (If you scored the goal or if it's an AI Goal)
- Fixed kick off bug
- Tweaked Player Physics
- Fixed wrong corners / Throw ins
- Auto resize resolutions
- Much better difference between teams/players
- Icey Mode improved
- AI Teams now try and defend / tackle!
- Removed dead times (when waiting for players to get the ball)
- General Bug Fixes
Please let us know your thoughts on these changes. Big thank you to the guys who spotted the wrong corner bugs and also the resolution bugs, would have been hard to spot them!
We're working hard and fast on the next update (we're trying to get one out once a week, and currently seem to be on track). The next update we hope to include the much desired Settings Menu, Load and Save and a more logical referee!
Eurogamer REZZED
In other news, we had an absolute blast at EGX Rezzed! Not sure how many people played SAF (definitely over 1,000!), but they all seemed to really enjoy themselves, and many of them came back for more quick matches; (we even lost a few times to some absolute beasts).
Watching such a wide range of people play the game was really beneficial for us, we noticed lots of common things that we can work on to make the game even better (good and bad), and we received some more great feedback and ideas for the game.
DEMO
In even more other news...
We have made a demo for Super Arcade Football. It's downloadable through itchio and from here on steam soon (takes a few days for it to appear). So if you know anyone on the fence about getting SAF, point them to the demo. It's limited in terms of features, team's,game types and number of matches, but we hope can provide a good demonstration of the game.
That's enough writing for now, I'll post up a discussion about this update for you to leave your thoughts :)
