As we continue to prep our latest build of Vietnam and ourselves to head out to Boston next week for PAX East we want to share some additional media before we head out!
Today we want to show off the XM-21 Sniper Rifle and our current scope tech.
To address some of the conversation we’ve seen spring up over the past week as we discussed player movement changes: Several people wanted to know if any more changes were planned or being worked on in that area and the answer is “Yes”, one that should have custom mappers much happier!
A new system has recently come online in our latest build that allows for dynamic mantling/climbing and deploying (of machine guns) without the need for mappers to have to place nodes in their maps to facilitate this happening. This means that there should be less issues for players when they do these things in stock maps (they could break in the previous system and had to be tracked down and fixed by hand each time) as well as more reliably being able to do these activities in custom maps. While not directly player facing we feel this is a big win for everybody!
Also as a reminder we will be at PAX East next week showing an early build of Vietnam and our competitive mode to anybody who wants to drop by our booth and play it with the devs! 16 stations for 8v8 with Adam (lead designer), Alan (VP of TW), Sturt (Lead programmer) and myself. We expect there will be some media out of PAX for those who can’t attend and will continue to add media of our own once we return!

We have a closed beta sign up form that has slowly been working its way around. We still do not have an official start date for the closed beta but we will keep everyone updated on when this will happen. We will be inviting a limited number of people, but we will have several phases and multiple ways to get a key as we ramp up towards the final release of the game.
