Hello Everyone!
It has been an exciting September here at Tripwire and Antimatter Games! The teams worked towards the now released 1.04 Update and are now continuing onward towards the Bushranger Australian Forces Content Update, which we currently expect to be update 1.05. Now, with update 1.04 out in the wild, we would also like the community to take a small survey about recent gameplay changes in the past few updates. This will help us better plan on which items we should action next! You can find that here: https://rs2vietnam.com/survey
As part of our ongoing Research & Development process, we are looking at new ways we can support RS 2: Vietnam with features and content. One of these projects is looking at bringing the Red Orchestra 2 factions, weapons and maps forward into the enhanced 64bit Rising Storm 2 engine, including its new features and fixing many legacy issues. If you haven't yet, be sure to fill it out our poll asking about your favorite Red Orchestra 2 maps and make sure we know! Now just to be clear, this R&D project takes nothing away from the continued support of RS 2 and work towards new RS 2 content, such as the Bushranger update.
Something else to look forward towards as we enter October is the first phase of the Rising Storm 2: Vietnam Modding contest with $40,000 on the line! We've seen some great looking maps coming online and look forward to seeing even more! Make sure to check out what is already out there today in the Steam Workshop!
And be sure to tune in tomorrow as we are currently expecting to test an early build of the Bushranger update with the community on the Community Test Branch on Steam. Please keep in mind that the timing is subject to change and that this is a very early build of the content to help us better evaluate the play spaces of the three maps in development so that we can make changes. Much of the art and content seen in this preview will be early or placeholder. If you are looking for a finished, art passed build, you would be better served to NOT participate in this upcoming test. To get ready, you can find details on how to join the CTB here, once it is ready: http://steamcommunity.com/app/418460/discussions/6/ Tests will be run off of the existing Atlanta based server as well as a new European one.
As always, we look forward to hearing from you!
