📅 Calendar, Tournament Cards & Travel Management
In Absolute Tennis Manager 2, your season is not just a list of tournaments — it’s a strategic journey, where planning, anticipation, and logistics play a crucial role in your career.
This article introduces three deeply connected systems: the Calendar, Tournament Cards, and Travel Management.
🗓️ A Living, Strategic Calendar
The calendar gives you a global view of the professional circuit, week by week, across all levels:
Futures, Challengers, ATP 250, Majors, Davis Cup
Tournament surface, prize money, and ranking points
Entry cut, registration status, and selection probability
You can instantly identify:
Where you can realistically enter
Which tournaments fit your current ranking
How risky or safe a registration is
Every decision matters — over-ambition can leave you without matches, while smart planning builds momentum.
🏟️ Tournament Cards: All the Information at a Glance
Each tournament has a detailed, dedicated tournament card, giving you full transparency before committing.
You’ll find:
Surface type and playing conditions
Prize money and ranking points per round
Main draw and qualifying structure
Estimated ranking cut-off
Number of registered players in real time
Tournament history and defending champion (when applicable)
This allows you to compare tournaments quickly and choose the best option based on your objectives: ranking, money, confidence, or recovery.
✈️ Travel Management: Distance, Fatigue & Budget
Once your tournament is selected, travel becomes a strategic choice, not a formality.
You must manage:
Departure and arrival locations
Travel distance and flight duration
Climate impact and thermal shock
Travel fatigue depending on flight class
Hotel quality and nightly recovery
Total cost and impact on your finances
Bringing staff or traveling light can change your preparation and recovery before and after matches.
Poor travel decisions can affect your physical condition — smart logistics can give you a real competitive edge.
🧠 A Connected System, Not Isolated Features
Calendar, tournament selection, and travel are fully interconnected:
A long trip may force you to rest
A cheap hotel may slow recovery
A safer tournament may rebuild confidence
A risky entry may block your season
Your career is built through a chain of choices, just like in real professional tennis.
